Bush carried NE Mississippi handily in 2000, but I believe that it is the only region in the state where his percentage among whites was below 75%. As such, it is the closest thing to a "swing district" in the state.

Bush carried 83% of whites statewide in Mississippi in 2000 I believe. I hope this is the breakthrough year for the Mississippi GOP - keeping the Lt. Governor and picking up Governor, Attorney General, State Treasurer, and the Senate.
