Relevant important news to this story about Rush Limbaugh.

Watch the heartless liberals non-compassion to this great American.

"Asked if Limbaugh's decision to enter a 30-day rehabilitation program would have any impact on how prosecutors decided to handle his case, Black said, "I would certainly think so."

... asked if the procecutors decision to handle the case had any impact on Rush's decision to enter a 30-day rehabilitation program....

Big difference in getting addicted as the result of pain medication following an unsucessful surgery and using coke/crystal to pack your nose to get high. The distintion will be lost on the left!!

Roy Black has been vilified on this forum many times---let's see if he is again.

P.S. He is a great attorney whether he's representing Rush, Marv "The Bite" Albert, or a Kennedy.

All I can say is that I have watched my 82-year-old mother suffer terribly with intermittent back pain and it is awful.

Her most recent episode is going on right now and began nearly two months ago. Pain management scheduled her for epidural injections, but.........the earliest available appointment is November 26th. Absurd !!!!

If I could get my hands on someting that relieved her pain, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, many strong pain relievers have been prescribed and have given little help.

I have a brother with even worse problems and I could never explain them all here.

It is very easy to be free of pain and condemn somoene else who is desperately seeking relief. But how many people would sit and do nothing if they were suffering and knew that a particular drug could ease their agony?

Rush may have made some errors in judgment and got himself involved in a bad situation, but it seems evident that a need, a very human need, for comfort set him on that path. Who is anyone to judge?

As one who does have the constant pain, I can certainly understand Rush's problem. Glad he has a good attorney, he will need it against the lefties who will do all they can to see him in prison for life.

Ok. It's official. Rush's "drug/pain" problem started in 1997.

His detractors claim he was involved in his drug problem when he made his statement about jailing drug people - IN 1995.

As a caller to Sean Hannity stated earlier this afternoon...Even in constant pain, even under the influence of painkillers, suffering from hearing loss, El Rushbo annihilated the libs. Just think what he can do when he gets back!!!

I'm still having a tough time with the logic in some of these statements that defend or prosecute Rush.

Is Rush still in pain?

If he kicks the habit, what will he do about the pain?

If I am in constant pain and I am prescribed medication to ease the pain, and I take it as prescribed, how does that make me an addict?

It would seem that the addiction comes into play when I take MORE than what's been prescribed, or, the pain is gone but I still take the pills.

How would I be able to get MORE drugs than what has been prescribed?

A doctor could over-prescribe medication.
I could go to many doctors and get separate prescriptions.
I could also buy pills on the street.

Usually, rehab requires abstinence of all chemical substances.
They may temporarily prescribe other drugs(Valium etc...)to ease the pain of withdrawal.

If Rush is free of pain, abstinence can be done.
If Rush is still in pain, abstinence really isin't an option.

As for addiction, it seems hypocritical to categorize addictions as goOd and bad-(packing coke or overuse of prescribed drugs) - once addicted, it no longer matters why or how, it's only the addiction that matters.

So far only Rush Limbaugh himself and now this notorious criminal defense attorney have attested to Rush Limbaugh suffering chronic pain. I have yet to see a disinterested party's report that Rush was ever seen in visible pain. Ever is big word.

There is circumstantial evidence that there was no chronic condition (golf, no special seating for his marathon sessions at the mike, his own public statement last July that there's nothing at all wrong with him). There is no circumstantial evidence whatsoever to support the desperate-sounding theories of his escape from excruciating pain.

Say hello to the 800 pound gorilla sitting in the living room.
