Hi Libertina! You don't want to miss Georgia whenever you start traveling again....and NOW you know what to go see when you get here! :)
To: SpookBrat
Thanks Spookie. Lucky you, get to live in the coastal area of the South. :)

I just love that you have your colors back, Libby. :) These pinks are especially pretty! They actually are very "southern belle" looking - fits right in with "Jawja" :)

We should let MH King know (he of the Conservative black ping list!), and (though she's ill) LBGA should know too!

Good photo's - They show the area remarkably accurately!
The writer didn't cover Kennesaw Mountain (my own stompin' grounds over on this side of Atlanta) but figure it looks pretty like Stone Mountain - only some 200 feet shorter.
Once you get off of the expressway(s) - figure you're immediately in a pine and oak forest.
Find ANY open spot, and, if you don't mow or plow it every spring, you've immediately and automatically got pine trees growing 12 feet high in three years!

Georgia is a wonderful place and it keeps Alabama from sliding into the Atlantic Ocean. The best things coming out of Atlanta are I-20 West and I-85 South.
Just kidding Georgia Freepers.

Jekyll Island is a beautiful place to take pictures, especially if your taste is more abstract.

Chattahoochee is also a Florida name.
When I was a kid it was sort of a joke because that is the site of the Florida state mental hospital.
The river is called the Appalachicola in Florida (it technically is another river as the Appalachicola is formed by the joining of the Flint and Chattahoochee), but some still call it the Chattahoochee River.

I really like Jekyll Island because the landscape is like eye candy. It's very playful, yet mysterious. It's a beautiful place. Also, in Family Fun magazine, it was voted one of the best family beaches. It's not over crowed either.

Um....that should be "GOT" any.....
Darn it. My kids don't care about me until I get on the computer. Then they come in here and distract me and make me look like an idiot that can't spell. (I am an idiot that can't spell....but I cover it well). LOL
Time to get dinner finished. BBL

Thanks for that, I couldn't type in all the GA Freepers screen names, there were so many! Tried to type your screen name in but left off the PE and it was kicked back.

Hey there. It was hard to find some good pictures of this beach. I had to hunt for them. Come see me if you can. I'm only 45 minutes from there.
