The traffic through our county is immense, only a small percentage of those who come across our 80 miles of border are apprehended.
The rest of them end up fouling your neighborhood.

I was appalled at these figures. I live in an urban area in the Northeast and can't imagine what it must be like for people in Cochise County.
The government appears to have abandoned you.

Land Area: 6,215 Sq. Miles.
Rhode Island
Land Area: 1,231 sq Miles.

Did you know this site was started by one determined, stubborn son-of-a-gun who is in a wheelchair? Do you know that to this day he is still in charge? Do you know that this place is funded entirely by donations? Nobody’s getting rich off this place. It’s 3 months at a time.
Some of the brightest people in the world come here daily, to learn, and read what YOU have written. People like Rush (bless him), Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, both Houses of Congress, their staffs, World leaders, and all freedom lovers come here.

A friend of mine yesterday offered what at first appeared to be a rather silly solution to our immigration problem. Make Mexico our 51st state or even up to three new states.
Allow Mexicans up to 6 senate seats and a whole raft of congresscritters. Allow US enterprises free reign in Mexico and use Mexican oil profits to finance a raft of saftey nets that give Mexican's a reason to stay near home and still elevate their standard of living.
The cost, probably less than $3B. Might even be as bloodless as Iraq if we promise that the six ruling families are gone. If we advertise that this new state(s) will be democratic the average Mexican will probably assist in the invasion.
This idea may not be as foolish as I first imagined. The cost alone of adequately protecting our boarders would be staggering in comparison to a quick invasion with tactical support within range of our domestic bases.

The woman reportedly works for an outfit called Americans for responsible diversity (or something like that).
