In other news, the 'fan' that interfered just moved to St Louis to avoid the lynch mob.

Second batter of that last inning, I didn't know if I was watching baseball or a lumberjack.

I never watched baseball, but have watched some of the Cubs lately. I'm betting I won't be doing that again.

I could only imagine how the New Orleans fans would react if a fan caused them to not get to the superbowl. He'd probably be killed. I hope this guy is luckier.

There's still time, pooh, they can still screw it up.

I've been a Cubs fan for 34 years. Relax.

He's dead meat. and deserves it.

Personally, I was (kinda) hoping that Red Sox would play the Cubbies. At least then someone would go home happy.

Pitchers and Catchers report in about 120 days.

Lets go cubbies.

BTW I am going to be intrested in the stats for viewers watching the World Series this year, wonder if it will match or surpass the NLCS.

As a baseball fan, I've found both league championship series to be rather disappointing -- the NLCS because the Cubs pitching staff has looked average for the most part, and the ALCS because I have never seen such sloppy at-bats on a regular basis from playoff-caliber teams (especially the Yankees). Since the beanball incident on Saturday in Boston, I would venture to guess that the Yankees have set some kind of record for the most 0-2 counts per at-bat. And most of this has been the result of impatient, amateurish hitters flailing away at pitches outside the strike zone early in the count.

Here's hoping the wonderful fans of the Cubs have their riot and burn down that little league ballpark. The Cubs might break their jinx if they play in a real major league park
