How many Muslims did the Orthodox send to the lions within the walls of Haga Sophia for the crime of having a different religion?

Better to change a place of paganism into a place of non-violent worship than for a horde of pillaging, raping, enslaving, plundering barbarians, fresh from the steppes of central Asia, to change a church into a mosque.
I guess the Turks weren't too good at building things for themselves. They were better at taking over other people's edifices and altering them for their own purposes!
