(well, except it would be nice to send some Nicoret gum along with the copenhagen
in case they want to kick the habit!)

And I've heard from a few folks that they've gotten little or no response
after sending packages.
Despite the sort of empty feeling from that, I just accept that the package got to
the planned destination...or was accidentally routed and the goods used elsewhere.

Plus, I can see how with troops probably still moving around a bit, mis-routings might happen.

And, if I were stressed out all days from riding/walking patrols in
"Injun Country"...I might just get back to camp, open the pack, wolf down the comfort food...
and still be too stressed/exhausted to get a message/thanks fired off.

The US Army chaplain I've been in contact (and mailed packages to) has gone silent
for a bit over a week on e-mail...I just accept the package I send will get there
and the chaplain is too busy handing out goodies and tending to his flock...

The real take-home is to just do your best to help out at long range...
