Did anyone else find this truly hilarious, and not just astoundingly out of touch with reality?
If Davis governed California as a "good Republican", shouldn't this writer be glorifying in his defeat?
Davis the "centrist"? ? huh? ?
calling him autistic is an insult to all afflicted with autism.
Uhh, that's 20 words.
Even Oedipus and Jocasta couldn't get sufficiently into denial not to see this!
Gov. Wilson did it? I wanted to read this article but I quit reading here. Yes, my facts are not the whole story but they are the TRUTH!
"Deregulation," AB 1890, passed unanimously in both the Assembly and Senate. It was not Gov. Wilson's doing though of course he eventually signed it. Critics recognized at the time that it was NOT deregulation but rather just a new set of regulations -- suggestive of a silly horror movie, and for good reason as you'll see.
Steve Peace (D-El Cajon) was the chief architect of A.B. 1890, the 1996 bill that deregulated California's electric power industry to the benefit of Pacific Gas and Electric Co. and the other utility monopolies.
Another source says, "Peace, a Democrat from San Diego best known for producing the movie Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, gallantly took on the issue. (The utilities have shown their gratitude: Peace collected more than $170,000 from energy interests for his 1998 reelection campaign, according to energy writer Peter Asmus. Edison alone chipped in $50,000.)"
The story of the house built upon a foundation of sand -- the liberals' is such a house. Each grain of sand represents one of their lies. What keeps them going? It ain't reason and logic it's feeeeeeeeeeeeeeelings. How can a feeeeeeeeeeeeeeling be a lie or the truth? It's just a feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeling.

I agree its very funny and shows how irrational the left is becoming as they lose their grip on the levers of power.
While California grew 20% Gray Davis and the Democrats sent spending up 39%. I guess Mike Davis figures that if Gray was a REAL Democrat they would have raised spending 80% and taxed California into prosperity, which is every liberals wet dream.
