From what I know about my dad's business, he sets his own prices. And he is a foreigner. I used to work in IT, also, but I saw the writing on the wall back in the late '90s and got out of it and now I do something else. I know that doesn't help the folks that geared their whole career to writing software and other highly technical things, but there is always room in America for smart, hardworking people.

I worked in the tech field for several years. Got tired of trying to keep up with all the changes, certifications, Dilbert's rat race, etc...

Opened a sports photography business and now am making 10 times the money (some shoots make $4,000 to $5,000 an hour, almost as much as a lawyer, hee, hee). Researching franchising the business and expect to make several hundred thousand off of this business alone in the next couple of years. The return on investment is unbelieveable. America is a great country if you grab it by the balls and run with it! Anyone can succeed with a lot of sweat off their brow and a little inspiration (the same formula is applied for genius). };O)
