Generally and statistically speaking, most Muslims are not terrorists.
It just so happens that the terrorists (for the most part) claim Islam as their religion. And so it goes....

It is NOT happenstance, as you claim, that the terrorists are muslim.

They are terrorists because they are pious muslims. Every dead Christian and Jew they kill is murdered in the name of allah.

Terrorism is a tactic. You can't have a war against tactics.

We do not need a religious war against Islam. Religious wars are things of the past - they bring misery and desolation and cannot be concluded for generations. We are at war against the militant Islam, an ideology, not a religion. But this does not mean that the plain regular moderate Islam "the fastest growing religion of America" and the breading ground for the militant Islam should be unopposed. There is nothing wrong in opposing by peaceful means the spread of Islam (or other barbaric beliefs). It is necessary and healthy to have discussion on religious values, and wrong values and beliefs should be challenged. Tolerance does not mean acceptance. Repeating "Islam is a peaceful religion" mantra is just a cop out.
