Charlton Heston, one of the greatest in the movie picture industry, 30 years ago starred in a science fiction movie called "Soylent Green." It was truly horrifying and despite movie reviewers saying in comforting tones "it could never happen," it made us think about the future -- and worry ourselves sick.

... Boys and girls kill and die, without thought, in the name of Allah in the Palestinian territories, Israel, Chechnya, Iraq and Iran ...
Here's one solution.

Well, the gulag of Florida is doing its part to set things up, executing those usueless tube-feeders. [/bitter sarcasm]

It is 25 years into the future. Our government and all other governments have been taken over by a United Nations, led by a lady leader with an appalling resemblance to a composite of a younger, more strident Hillary and an older, more domineering, Madonna. Her cabinet of advisers are all athletic superstars and beautiful people, none of them older than 35.

The people are healthy, happy and contented.

Neither thought nor serious emotion mars their handsome faces. They consume their daily dose of mood stabilizing drugs, provided by ubiquitous benevolent, beautiful and caring counselor-police persons.

Through teleprompting, parapsychology and mass hypnosis the world's unthinking, uncritical population knows that its primary life goal is to prepare for "The Great Reward." And, when they are 55 years of age, under U.N. Global Human Management decree, humans go through the main doors of the Palace of Rejuvenation, the "Place of the Ever-Young."

Sounds a bit like Logan's Run, too. Which way to Sanctuary?

Let's get to the heart of the matter of this drivel. We've got an overabundance of senior citizens and young punks and the - ahem - baby boomers feel threatened? I got an idea, let's line up all the former against a wall a shoot them, that's the ticket. /sarcasm off

This has very little to do with the so-called population explosion. Children in Africa have turned to violence because their societies and governments are disfunctional and in some nations many adults have died of AIDS.

In the United States, Europe, Japan, Russia, and the developed world, populations are in meltdown mode. There are more elderly people coming along than the workers will be able to take care of, and few families are replacing themselves.

Probably the one exception is Muslims. If they could figure out some way of dealing with the Muslim plan to take over the world, it would be nice. But you know that the Population controllers will simply sell more condoms and abortions to those populations that are already in decline.

Forget Sanctuary, which way to Jenny Agutter?

We can't save the world, but we can save the United States. This is why we have to get a handle on our Borders, Language and Culture.

Otherwise, those who don't assimilate will assimilate us.

We'll be just another subset of Borg in the U.N.

A few words comes to mind after reading a paragraph or two.

Pap, drivel, codswallop, tripe.

Anyone that thinks the UN will be running the worlds governance in 25 years is living in a fantasy world

The 11 billion by 2050 figure is absolute pap. There never was an estimate that high for 2050, and the estimates have been falling for years. The current UN mid-estimate is around 9 Billion, and even that may well be too high. Most current estimates is that we will NEVER hit 11 Billion on earth -- though such estimates have never been too good in the past.

The total for the Race of Man will almost certainly top that sometime in the distant future as we get off the earth in significant numbers -- but it may be 100-200 years rather than 25-50.

Already been filmed - it's called "carousel" (death at age 30 from the central computer) in Logan's Run:

That's not all the Sheeples Republic of FloriDUH is doing. We ranted and raved, whined and pouted, until the mean old Boer government in S. Africa was turned over to the native tribes.

All in the name of "social justice". Throughout Africa, and all too much of the "Turd World", the change from Western, Eurocentric, white control to "native control" meant a return to tribal level social behavior.

Baaaad move! Not surprisingly, the locals 'went native' and happily returned to butchery and cannibalism. I humbly suggest that it is only just that the American liberals who helped bring about the present debacle in Africa be drafted to form an army to stabilize places destabilized by their foolishness.

I further suggest that their assets be sold to pay for the equipment, training, etc. A little responsiblity for their actions is sure to be a new experience for them.

For every article like this, there's another one decrying the coming disaster due to the graying of the population. There won't be enough young, productive people to support all the unproductive retired people, some claim.

Both scenarios are wrong. We are moving towards a post-scarcity society that will demolish all conventional ideas of economics. Yes, I know that most of the world is currently poor, by our standards, but the West will pull the rest of the world along with it. (The technological and economic trajectories being followed by the developing nations are actually much shorter than the comparable curves followed by the West in the past.)

As people get richer, they produce fewer children. Formerly, people have depended upon the next generation to support the previous generation as it ages, so at first glance, having fewer children seems to be a losing strategy. But as productivity rises, one worker can support an ever-increasing number of people. In the future, we will see a society that gets ever smaller, older, and richer.

This is a melodramatic piece designed to make your children accept their denial of reproductive rights. Another case of Motherhood on the block.

Such melodramatics is well suited to play in the background as the State of Florida carries out its premeditated murder of Terri Shindler-Schiavo.

Just more niche-market propaganda. Don't you just love it?

Drowsie well my droogies.
