TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.

The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.

Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

EVERYONE, please visit the site referred to by amom at http://12dollars.net/terri/ and compose an email to all the Florida legislators about the upcoming "Terri's Bill" presentation today by Speaker of the House Johnnie Byrd.

One click of a button, and your email goes to all the lawmakers. That will save you having to cut-and-paste hundreds of your own emails. I know it works because within minutes I started getting auto-return "thanks for your email" responses from their email addresses. It only takes a few minutes, and with the legislation set to be introduced shortly after lunch today, time is of the essence!

I am horrified that a judge can prevent parents from keeping their child alive. And the police even bar a priest, prevent her from getting last rites! I never tought I'd see this happening in the USA. What kind of country are we becoming?

The Washington Times reported today: "The Schindlers say their son-in-law said nothing about any wishes of his wife not to be kept alive artificially until he stood to inherit her medical trust fund."

Is there any way to keep that husband from inheriting it?

I hope that at least there will be an autopsy just in case the husband was somehow involved.

Also, I red of a man who came out of a come afte 19 years. He believed Ronald Reagan was the president.

Yes, Judicial is trying to go after for criminal charges. That is waht the letter from The Thomas More Law center had advised last week as well. Judicial Watch filed their complaint through the Children and Family servies based upon the years of neglect of a disabled person. Thomas More Law Center was bascily saying Jeb has authority and DUTY to open an invesigation into criminal charges based upon many factors.

Because he is on the Florida Hospice Board of Directors. It's on his website under "Affiliations."

Just saw this on another thread:

The way this is written it sounds like Bush called this session specifically to address Terri's plight. That is false. The session has been scheduled for some time, to address financial matters. Now, it may be used to address Terri's type of execution as well. [Jeb Bush has not called a special session to save Terri with a bill.]

Apparently there is some confusion.

Let's keeping emailing, calling & praying that there is indeed a 'Terri's Bill' and that it passes ASAP.
