Interesting that they said any new legislation that may be addressed today cannot be retroactively applied, but the law that called feeding tubes life support, passed after Terri's collapse, WAS retroactively applied to her by Greer.

We gather here and are united in our agreement that we are humbly petitioning you for your intercession in this entire matter of Terri Schiavo. Father, Overshadow Governor Bush, the Florida legislature, as well as the entire Florida judiciary. While you are at it, please overshadow Judicial Watch and all organizations who are seeking legal redress in this situation. Overshadow any and all federal governmental bodies who may be affected by or could affect this situation.

Father, we call forth the softening of hearts! Soften the hearts of those who are in decision-making positions! Soften the hearts and change the minds of those who are hard hearted in our news media! Blaze forth your illumination on what is the Truth and what is the Lie in this situation! Soften the hearts of the people of this nation! Reach into the minds and hearts of our men and women and children. Grant us all the vision and understanding that honoring Sanctity of Life is indeed a standard to treasure and guard. Grant the vision and understanding that the world in which your created Life is not respected is a world which is harsh and unjust.

Father, we call forth divine Justice in this entire situation. To our eyes it is not just that the person who has legal guardianship can determine to put this woman to death. To our eyes it is unjust that our court system would go along with this! We consider it unjust that religious last rights are being withheld. Father, we do call forth your intercession directly in this situation. We call forth your guidance for all who are in decision positions. We also beseech you to assign each one of us who sees this situation as being against your divine order, those particular tasks you would have us carry out to turn things around! Overshadow all who are holding vigil for Terri and this situation.

Father, in our human perspective, we see this situation as being so far from the Godly standards which a Christian nation should uphold. We, in our human perspective, believe we are seeing our nation turning its back on its Judeo-Christian heritage. Father, in our human perspective, we believe that this would be a great tragedy. From the days of our founding, we have had the creed, yet to be found on our new crisp twenty dollar bills, "IN GOD WE TRUST!" Father, if we are usurping your role in life and death situations to an inordinate degree in our laws and mores, we are stating with our actions, if not our words, that we as a nation no longer trust you. In our human perspective, we believe that if we withdraw our trust in you as a people, it also follows that you would be compelled by your own respect of our free will which you have granted us, to withdraw your own trust and sponsoring of us. You would let us live in the nation we are creating.

Father, if this human perspective is true, we ask that you will listen to those of us who yet adore and trust you! We ask you to intercede! We do pledge our lives and our purpose of living to hold up that standard, SANCTITY OF LIFE! For if we do not have that, we have nothing. We do not have life, for the state can take it away. We do not have justice, for the state can take it away. We do not have you, for by our own actions, we would have driven your closeness to us away.

Father, we have seen other instances of euthanasia being sanctioned in our society. There have been millions of babies disallowed the opportuntity to take their places among us because of abortion. There has been a rolling momentum gathering to shape this nation into that cold harsh mechanistic "Brave New World" rather than the warm alive nation with justice for all envisioned by our founders. Father, SHATTER now that momentum leading us to death! SHATTER now that romance with the death culture which enthralls so many of us in our nation! SHATTER now that cause and core behind this latest manifestation of rebellion and hatred of Life!

Father, let only your divine Will take place in this situation. If it should be your Will to take Terri home sooner than we would like to see, then we ask you to let her sacrifice be not in vain. Let this murder of one of our own be a rallying cry and a watershed event that can be used to awaken those who are yet asleep! Father, there but for your own divine grace goes each one of us! Each one of us could at any time find ourselves in Terri's situation. We DO want to be treated according to the Golden Rule! Let us as a nation treat Terri as we ourselves would want to be treated!

Father, we do call forth your righteous judgement in the name of our Lord in this entire situation. We ask that those who have brought Terri to this situation be held accountable by you and by your Higher Law! Mete out your justice and judgement upon them according to your Will and timing! Let them be taught their errors by your own hand. We ask that you will provide any and all remedies to save this nation and her people by measures which we have called forth, and by measures we may not have thought of to ask for! Intercede at all levels in this matter, our Father! We join together and agree here on earth that we WANT the world you created for us! We WANT your divine grace and Law and the lives we can lead full of Peace, Joy, and Dignity when we are compliant with your divine Will and Plan! We surrender ourselves and Terri and her family to your keeping. We surrender this entire situation onto your altar, and we are grateful for your answer!

I called one of the Florida Senators offices and the person who answered the phone first acted as if she did not know about this and then once I gave her more information she said the little problem with this legislation is that some people want to die and Jeb Bush can't introduce this and the session is being introduced for another reason. It was obvious to me that more calls need to be made. I would recommend prayer first and then call so that God can work through you to get the message across. This is the office I called with a negative response.

Well, several news services have reported that Speaker Johnnie Byrd has been working on the bill for today's session. Why don't you call the news services, if they are making innacurate reports? I would assume they had their sources. I don't know that they were claiming that the special session was originally called to address this, but maybe they decided to add it over the weekend.
