Caucasian Club founder decides to leave school (Update)

It's 11:40 a.m., the middle of lunch break at the only high school in Oakley, and freshman Lisa McClelland is at home.

The 15-year-old says she's not going back to Freedom High School.

Her push to start a Caucasian Club at her predominately white school -- in predominately white Oakley, population 25,000 -- has made national headlines, causing harassment, she said, from fellow students. She hasn't been at school in nearly two weeks and doesn't plan to come back. With her parents' consent, she has decided to transfer to La Paloma, a continuation high school in nearby Brentwood.

The High School in my area(Fort Hamilton- 5,100 students) has an Arab club, black club, Latino club, etc., but no white kids club unless you count the one for the Greek kids.

But seriously, my school in the Bronx had an Italian Club, a German Club, and a Gaellic Society. The reason they had "African American" Clubs is because of the unfortunate fact that most black teenagers have no way of knowing what their true nationality is. The reason they have Asian Clubs is because there are rarely enough Asian students of one single nationality.

This is a microcosm of the inevitable results of "diversity", that is....cultural separation.

This girl is better off being home-schooled, she will get a much better education and not have to waste her very valuable time explaining her European-American pride to the Massa.

I look at this in another way not mentioned in the article. To have a Caucasian/White club and make it official (that's the important part, it has to be approved) these other "ethnic" clubs could see the automatic "tension" that it produces. The fact is, there shouldn't be "ethnic clubs at all on school property. Look at the tension that just the mention of a Caucasian Club has wrought? It should help people to see better that the creation of ANY ethnic club produces resentment and creates tension. All along whites have been told that we are just racist in our attitudes about these clubs. Well, hells bells, we talk about a Caucasian Club and all hell breaks loose. It seems the opponents of the Caucasian Club aren't racist but whites who protest against any ethnic club are. The fact remains that it isn't resentment because of ethnicity...it's resentment over special treatment and the feeling of being left out. It's as simple as that.

There's a Black Student Union for African Americans, a Latinos Unidos for Latin Americans, and an ALOHA Club for Asian Americans at Freedom High -- as is the case in most, if not all, Bay Area high schools. So, Lisa wondered, why not a Caucasian Club?

Lisa, Lisa, Lisa. Shame on you. Don't you know that the victocrats (political victims) have to have an oppressor? You are the oppressor, along with all caucasians. For you to start a caucasian club is a threat to the victimhood. You would dilute there stance.

On a lighter note, Gen X, Y, Z and so on (or Gen X-cetra?) ain't goina take it. Ask one of them who MLK was and they will likely say "Didn't he play for the Cubs a while back?" That does tnot mean that victimology will go away. It is just that the cry for racial victimology (affirmative action et al) is slowly losing its shine.

Instead of a “Caucasian Club”, she should have started a club for students of European heritage. It’s more accurate, and I doubt anyone would have objected to the “United Students of European Heritage” or the ”Euro-American Student/Youth Society“ (EASY).

There should be ethnic clubs of every race as long as there is enough interest to create it. To pretend that there are no cultural, physical, and historical differences between the races is an absurd policy being perpetuated by the pc crowd, and only contributes to racial tensions. Everyone should be proud of their own race, heritage, and respect others' as well. Caucasion people have many different nationalities too, and it is this double standard systematic racism that applies only to caucasion people that I find disgusting.

Armstrong High School in Richmond Virginia was the scene of a teacher beating last week. A 32 yr. old female math and science teacher was beaten and kicked while on the floor. She was taken to the hospital. Her sin was telling a male student he could not have a cell phone in class. School rules were know to all. This school was the scene of a teacher murder by a student a couple of years ago.
Teaching these criminals is a nasty business. I looked up the high school on Google. I will not bother to link it.

The number of single nationality whites is declining due to intermarriage. White Americans whose families have been in the U.S. for three or more generations that are of a single nationality. The girl at the center of the controversy is of Scottish, Irish, Hispanic, and German heritage, and is partially non-white (American Indian). Does she go for the haggis, the corned beef, the tacos, or the bratwurst?

There are some exceptions. Most white Southerners are descended from 17th and 18th Century settlers from the British Isles. There are portions of the Upper Midwest that are still basically German, Dutch, or Scandinavian. A few ethnic neighborhoods still hang on in the Northeastern and Great Lakes cities, although the vast majority of the "Ellis Island" immigrants have long since migrated to suburbia or the Sun Belt.

There is nothing different in the development of a common white or Euro-American identity than what Hispanics, Asians, American Indians, and blacks have done in bridging their internal differences to forge a common identity. However, in the Orwellian world of liberalism, whites are not permitted the same liberty that non-whites have in these matters.
