Here's my short letter...
Sir,
Calling George Bush a liar for his interpretation of intelligence on Iraq is akin to accusing Ted Kennedy of murder for the death of Mary Jo Kopekne.
Hmm..
Is that really what you wanted to say? Kennedy DID kill that girl, first by driving drunk, second, by driving like a Kennedy, third, by abandoning the scene overnight when divers said that Kopechne (the correct spelling) could have lived for perhaps an hour in an air bubble in the back seat. Naturally, one could say that it was not premeditated, but the purposeful abandonment of the scene and the failure to immediately call the police blurs the line.
Accusing President Bush for being a liar, and putting it on the same level as Kennedy's murdering of a young girl is calling the President a liar. Or was that your intention? Were you simply comparing the level of murder to the level of "lying" by the President?
Please clear this up. I will be happy to accept that I misunderstood you.
