Sick of the World’s “Moral Superiority?”

When you write articles that reflect your opinions and feelings and others read those words, you get some intriguing responses.

I got an encouraging note from a gentleman that was almost prophetic. “Remember there are those out there that can not stand the truth and they will attack you. You stand strong and all of us at...are with you.”

On the flip side, this came from a Canadian: “It is obvious that you, as well as a majority of Americans, need to listen, hear and learn from the rest of the world. Unfortunately, you cannot tell an idiot, he or she is an idiot because he or she is an idiot.” Had he not included the majority of my countrymen, I probably would have just deleted and moved on.

The-he/she stuff is juvenile. Stop it. I must say, our “he’s” are better looking. Even an idiot knows that.

“Americans, need to listen, hear and learn from the rest of the world.” This is a fascinating statement. I decided to take a mental cruise of the world to see what it has to offer. Who is doing so much better than we Americans that we need to listen and learn so we too can be noble and wise.

Let’s start with Africa. They should be the most advanced since that is the very cradle of mankind. Tribal warfare, mass murder by machete, entire populations starving, AIDS out of control because the majority of men refuse to use condoms and believe that raping a 4 year old virgin will cure them. Okay, let’s skip that part of Africa.

How about Libya? Now there’s a thriving democracy. It’s the home of confessed airline bombers. We could learn a lot from them if blowing up several hundred innocent people over Scotland is something to which we aspire.

The Middle East…ah, yes, now there, surely American men can learn how to respect women. Shouldn’t all young girls who dare try to escape from a burning building die behind a locked gate because they have no way to cover their heads as the key-toting guards watch? Or selling 13 year old girls to some greasy old man so he can use her until she is worn out, then claim she committed adultery so he can have her beheaded. Even better, if she is raped, SHE gets the blame and is stoned to death! Much more efficient than a messy divorce and cheaper! Christians caught praying in their homes are arrested and tortured. Yes, now there is a culture I think Americans can really get excited about.

We can’t leave out those who celebrate when their teenager blows himself up killing a few babies while he’s at it. How uncultured of we Americans to recoil in horror at the very thought of our children doing such things. If I wanted someone dead that bad, I would do it myself. I would NEVER send my child to do it. But, you know us Americans. We’re just backwards I guess.

How about Europe? Surely there, with all their culture and sophistication, we have much to learn. Indeed we do. We learn that socialism doesn’t work. We would learn how to lose wars. We learn that old people need air conditioning. Wait, we already know that. Can you imagine what the world would have said if 15,000 American elderly had died, alone and ignored, from the heat? France: that bastion of culture, art and music. That failing socialist, over the hill, Saddam’s best buddy collection of self serving, plotting wind bags whose biggest fear is the word “email” will destroy their fragile culture. France: That always quick to surrender country whose ill-educated young defaced the WWII monuments and told us to remove our “garbage” from their soil. You remember that “garbage” don’t you? The “garbage” that died liberating their country.

How about Germany? Germany started two World Wars; are responsible for the deaths of millions; tried to wipe out an entire race and now that they are united again are falling into the depths of depression caused by the infusion of the bloodsucking, socialist East. Their new best friend is France. How far the mighty have fallen. Their unemployment is rising, the anti-Jew feelings growing and they hate the U.S because we are successful and they are not. Because of their failing country, they are getting angry and restless again. They need someone to blame. Watch out world.

We can’t leave out Asia. There is always that loony in North Korea. We can learn how to starve our people from him. There is the wonderful Communist China who oppresses their people in every aspect of life. Yes, we can look to China if we want to force women to kill their newborn babies because they dared have more than one.

I can’t ignore our neighbors to the North. While I have no doubt that if our backs were against the wall and we truly needed them to survive they would be there. What they would be able to do is beyond me because Canada has gutted their military to pay for their unmanageable and bloated socialized medicine program. The French-Canadians will continue to try to tear the country in two. We tried that, it doesn’t work. I work with Canadians that drive two hours to get to work because they would starve working in Canada.

So what is my point here? My point is this. I’m an American. I’m proud I’m an American. I would live nowhere else. We’re not perfect because we’re human. We never claimed to be perfect. My country and her people do more for the poor, the oppressed and the tormented than any other country in the world. But it’s never enough. They want our money. They want our soldiers to do their dirty work and they want the right to sling condescending words at us about how ignorant we are and call us “idiots”. We are too aggressive, they say. They want us to bow down to their “moral superiority”. That, we will never do because they are neither moral nor superior. What they want from us is for us to fail.

FACT: We were attacked on our own soil on 9/11. FACT: We WILL defend ourselves and we do not depend on the U.N. for anything. If the rest of the world wants to stand by and scold us for being aggressive in our defense, so be it. Let terrorists blow you up, we prefer to stop them. You “understand” them. We prefer to kill them before they kill us.

Of course, as we protect ourselves, we protect you as well and only a handful seem smart enough to see the enemy for what it is: insidious and deadly. So you guys do what you do best these days. Sit back, relax and let the U.S. take care of the problem. Chastise our every move. We will always be here to defend you…won’t we?

Start with the UN Declaration of Human Rights. Then see which if any countries actually implement any of those human rights. You might find that America is high on the list, and that America's foreign critics are from countries or entire regions that do not adhere to the Declaration's recommendations. Thus America does in fact have a position of moral superiority in the world.

Libya is not doing badly. Khaddafi is getting an Alexander the Great complex, but otherwise he is fairly enlightened. But look at North Korea and Cuba. They claim to be totally in compliance with Human Rights, yet clearly something is amiss.

Cuba and NK are worse examples. I singled out Ghaddafi because his nation heads up the UN Committee.

You remember that “garbage” don’t you? The “garbage” that died liberating their country.

This is to let all you Freepers know that in Canada we have a "heartland" also. Yes there is a large fly-over section. It's just that the mainstream media is largely leftist and ignores or denigrates us.

Canada has been highjacked by the French for a long time. However, there is a tiny light flickering at the end of the dark tunnel, and it is the merging of the Canadian Alliance and the non-red Conservatives.

Here is an example of a right thinking Canadian:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1004520/posts

She writes for the National Post, among other venues, and her name is Elizabeth Nickson.

IMO, she is a female Mark Steyn.

Finally I would like to say this: My late Mom all her life said that the finest sight and sweetest sound was American Soldiers and their tanks coming to liberate her from a German forced labor camp, where she worked from the age of 15 to 19.

Later on when I was born, we happened to end up in the French sector of the displaced persons camp. The French were cooperating with the Soviets' request to hand over all the people in the French sector of soviet origin to them. These were then shipped back to the soviet union and promptly murdered.

My late Dad heard of this and we escaped to the, you guessed it, American sector and safety.

I wouldn't have lived past 18 months otherwise.

So again, thank you American Soldiers.

I consider America to be the most moral country in the history of the planet.

And it's not Cretien, but Cretin; he's the real moron.

My personal ambition is to spend the latter part of my life in America. That's my real home.

Sorry for the rather long post.

G-d Bless America and Her Soldiers.

An epic rant.

Another thing she could have blasted those smug Euros about is the rising tide of anti-semitism and penchant for chilling free speech. For some reason, banning flag burning in the U.S. sets the libs to raging, but you don't hear a peep when supposedly enlightened France makes it illegal to make fun of their flag or anthem.

China is another communist example where they imagine they are doing well with human rights, yet they violate most of the Declaration.

I tend to place CHina as a fascist country, strictly speaking. However, maybe classifying different types of socialistic totalism is an exercise in removing fly-crap from pepper.
