Michael Peterson in fight in prison, hospitalized
The Associated Press
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (AP) - Novelist and convicted murderer Michael Peterson was back in his prison cell Wednesday as administrators tried to determine whether he was assaulted or started a fight.
Peterson was examined at Nash General Hospital after Tuesday's fight and returned to his single-bed cell about three hours later, said Bonnie Boyette, correctional administrator at Nash Correctional Institution.
"His condition is not life threatening," Boyette said Wednesday.
She said the fight with one other person occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday. Boyette said the fight happened on Peterson's cell block, but she did not know if it happened inside or outside the Durham writer's cell. She said her understanding was that no weapons were used.
No charges have been filed. Corrections officers are investigating what happened, Boyette said.
"In our prisons, we do have some assaults and some fights" but they don't break out daily, she said.
Peterson was convicted Oct. 10 of first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Kathleen.
The prison was 11 inmates below its capacity of 640 prisoners on Tuesday, Boyette said. The prison has 300 employees.

I guess the brothers were waiting for him. They must have heard the part about his "friend" Brad.
Sorry if anyone else had posted this but a search of "Peterson" only brought up the Scott Peterson posts.

I wonder what priveleges he will lose. Has he been there long enough to have any?
I'm guessing Peterson made a pass toward a pretty boy inmate who didn't think Peterson was quite as handsome.

Yes! They could share a day room with Rae Carruth; Rudolph can just call it a branch office!

BAD Brad. LOL! This trial and its particpants, (including the excused or dismissed jurors) is more interesting than a Hollywood scandal.

Peterson also had a disgusting lawyer. The lawyer's personal attacks on witnesses must only have impressed on the jury that he believed his Michael was guilty.
I was surprised that the male hooker Brent was/is also a Marine.
