I've only heard of two tax cut plans even being on the table: a complete repeal of the income tax (replaced by a sales tax) and a plan to make the existing tax cuts "permanent."

So I doubt that it's some new, additional income tax cut proposal for either businesses or individuals...whatever this particular rumor turns out to be.

Cut taxes and spending- aye, I agree. I wish on Sim City you could arrange tax rebates and tax give-aways as well...

The rats as well as Bush are throwing out tax cut ideas and Bush ought to be able to leverage off of them. The rats ideas include job creation credit, more w/os of equipment, extend R&D, Cut cap gains.

In adition more college credits, first time home buyes, lower cap gains tax, etc.

So far none are discussing reform.

You're beating not just a dead Horse, but a fosilized horse.

That still doesn't change the fact that it's welfare.

So deficits are a myth?

No, but they are proportionate to income. The less receipts the less deficit spending.

Call a spade a spade...if you get back more from the IRS than you pay in, it's welfare.

As with all complex problems, there is a simple solution if you dig deep enough. Conservatives don't like taxes, Democrats do. Tax registered Democrats the amount they think they should be paying and cut Republicans the amount they think they deserve. What about the RINOS you say? Put them in the stockade and throw the key away.

So are you saying if we reduce government income (taxes) then eventually spending is reduced because deficits eventually become political liabilities?

It's the eventual part that many have a problem with. It never seems to happen.

Also if 50% of the citizens don't pay taxes then tax cuts are "For the rich". Liberals will have a hay day with further tax cuts.

The less receipts the less deficit spending.

So that would also mean that more receipts would mean higher deficits. Your bank must make a futume off of you in bounced check fees. ;)

You don't get the point - the measure was NEVER voted on in the House.

The welfare checks NEVER were sent out because the measure died in conference.

Actually, I don't think those welfare checks are so much a "fossilized horse" as they are a "disintegrated horse"

aw heck, why do you think spending is up? could it be that the jihadi's declared war on us? causing us to spend megabucks across the board for security/infrastructure?

If that's the case, then I'm (thankfully) in error. I just remember being so pi$$ed off when it flew through the senate 99 to 0 that I HAD to turn off the TV and walk away before shooting it. If that turd died in the House, then Tom Delay is certainly doing his job.

Sure, some of it. Now add in the Farm Aid, Aids aid, pending Prescription Drug aid, billions more Education aid,....I think you know where I'm going here and you can't tell me that any of it is related to Security. Speaking of Security, how 'bout the Multiple Billions in the boondoggle called TSA and HLS? Absolute waste. Need more? Blackbird.

He needs to make all health care costs tax deductible. Premiums,co-pays,deductibles, and prescriptions. Not just to corporations, but to individuals like myself, who is self-employed. Democrats have been opposing this for years. The dems hate the self-employed. Right now only a percentage of costs are deductible. It needs to be 100%. Also 100% of credit card interest would be nice. Doesn't hurt to ask?
