A bipartisan delegation of U.S. congressmen visiting Mexico Wednesday said they expect quick passage -- perhaps as soon as December -- of a bill that would help some immigrant agricultural workers gain legal residency.

However, the delegation, which is to meet with Mexican President Vicente Fox Friday, said broader immigration reform is still far off.

[ Berman-Cannon Bill...would allow about 500,000 undocumented U.S. farm workers to become legal residents ]

What part of "protect the borders" is so difficult for "our" representatives in government to understand?

This bill is obviously just a miserable attempt to placate a few, uninformed voters, so Congress can pretend that they did something about the illegal problem.

They are guaranteeing that Bush will be out the door in '04.

What will the next 10-15 years of unlimited immigration do for CA?

It will put CA well past the point of no return...and the country as well. Can you imagine how much influence the secularly corrupt and despicable Mexican government will have in OUR government? Game, Set, Match...it's over.

The proposal -- known as the Berman-Cannon bill after its sponsors, Republican Chris Cannon of Utah and Democrat Howard Berman, of California

Time to start reminding Cannon of his work in the impeachment and stop being a RINO@

I wish TT would run. Someone needs to challenge our nearly-worthless President on this issue.

He doesn't have enough national exposure. He needs to run for Senate or Governor first.
