Tonight was completely unexpected, unethical - and sadistic.

True, but remember that satan will attack even more viciously after God's people experience victory (kind of like the desperate 'RATS are acting, but I digress). We need to remain calm, keep praying, and know that He is always in control. God is greater than satan. Our prayers thus far have been answered in the way we wished: Terri is not being starved to death. Keep praying. Maybe Pegita can say another prayer for whatever the next miracle is that Terri needs.

God is good.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for Your child, Terri, so beloved by her family ~ and now the world. She is a picture of Your care and protection in the face of the most extreme distress, and a witness to the stirring of the hearts of Your people to act on behalf of this dear one, who cannot defend herself.

Again we ask, O Lord, that You will be for her that husbandman of the Bible, the one who will come alongside of her ~ the one to cover her with his garment of protection and care ~ the one who will ease her fears ~ the one who will defend her before the world.

We have committed Terri to Your loving care, Father, and we do so again. We are frightened for her, but she has not escaped Your view or Your protection. Whisper to her the love of her family ~ may she feel the prayers of a nation ~ may she be renewed by Your Spirit ~ and may she be unafraid in her circumstance. Hold back the storm of evil that would engulf her and set her safely on solid ground ~ bring forth the people needed to help her ~ turn aside those who would harm her.

We thank You, dear Father, for this mother's child. Forget not her parents ~ set their hearts at ease, for You stand watch over their beloved daughter. Forget not her brother and sister and those who labor, for their plea is that Terri be returned safely to the care of her parents. And that is our plea, O God, in the name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen ...
