Anyone who thinks a single Senator doesn't matter should take a look at yesterday's failed attempt to limit runaway class-action lawsuits. Fifty-nine Senators voted in favor of going to a floor vote on the measure, one vote short of the 60 needed to break a filibuster.

Several years ago the libertarian party in Washington state was celebrating their victory at teaching the state GOP to take them seriously. They had just been successful in their bid to unseat Senator Slade Gorton (R).

It shows the degree of hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty on the part of the demwits. Daschole is so intellectually dishonest, that he would probably sell his own mother into prostitution (if he could find some way to gain political advantage) and would tell his mother she should be grateful for the employment opportunity.

The 17 Amendment that changed the vote for Senator from being elected by the state legislature to being elected by the people, should be amended.

The election process should alternate, term to term.

One term, the people vote for their Senator.

The next term, the state's legislature votes for their Senator.

The next term, the people vote for their Senator.

The next term, the state's legislature votes for their Senator.

And so on.
