Have They Finally Gone Too Far? (Dems' Disgraceful Racism Towards Court Appeals Ct Nominee Brown)

President Bush has nominated Justice Janice Rogers Brown to a seat on the D.C. Court of Appeals. Justice Brown, the daughter of Alabama sharecroppers, was raised in a family that valued hard work and whose motto, she says, was "Don't snivel." She has succeeded due to her own merit and indomitable will. Liberals, naturally, will fight to the death to keep her off the federal bench.
This is the racist cartoon that originated at Black Commentator, and which the N.A.A.C.P and People for the American Way included in their written material on Justice Brown:
Judiciary Committee hearings on Justice Brown's nomination began yesterday; Byron York reports. The Democrats were ordered by People for the American Way and the N.A.A.C.P. to block Brown's nomination at all costs, so they launched an attack on her that was vicious, although, as York describes it, less than whole-hearted. To his credit, Orrin Hatch displayed a blow-up of the N.A.A.C.P.'s racist cartoon on an easel throughout the hearing, which put the Democrats a bit on the defensive.
But if the past is any guide, the left will succeed once again in blocking the nomination of a minority judicial candidate whose success mocks their mantra that minorities can't make it in America. When will the American people rise up in anger against these deniers of the American dream? When will the Bush administration finally bestir itself to fight these perverters of our democratic system? Has the left, in its blatant racism, finally gone too far?
Don't hold your breath. Thomas Sowell writes: "Is there any game plan in the White House or the Justice Department to get the truth out about Justice Janice Rogers Brown or will the lies have a field day? If there is a plan, there is still no sign of it at this eleventh hour."
Call the White House. Email your Senators. The time to act is now.

In case you haven't seen the despicable, disgraceful, racist cartoon...

Doesn't it say something about the cartoonist when he doesn't trust his caricatures enough to leave off identifying initials? What a bunch of scum these folks are and their oppositon.

This is absolutely sickening. Let's see - minorities are too stupid to be able to figure out voting machines, and obviously delusional, undeserving, and 'house slaves' if they're conservative. WHY do the democrats have such a hold on minorities when they hold them in such disregard? This is appalling.

Even more disconcerting when you realize that 92% of Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act, and only 62% of Democrats did.

WHY do the democrats have such a hold on minorities when they hold them in such disregard? This is appalling.Decades of lies/spin/misrepresentation have really done a number on them (of course with a LITTLE help from a complicit media)... That's exactly why Bush's team - Cheney/Frist/Hatert/Powell MUST join DeLay and blast the Dems when they lie- sooner or later, if their lies go unchallenged long enough and often enough, the lies will be perceived as fact in the minds of millions of voters...
Remember the infamous "Medicare Cuts" that Gingrich championed... No, exactly... The Dems called it a cut, the media called it a cut, and the Republicans NEVER challenged it. It was a smaller increase than in the past - it was still an INCREASE!

As long as the spineless Republicans in the Senate keep their mouths shut and don't excercise their authority, both moral and legal, the Dems will continue to do whatever they want with no fear of repercussion. I blame this judicial fiasco on the Republicans not Democrats.

I can't understand the reticence on their part... In the past, when the media was totally liberal, it was much riskier... Now, with FOX, talk radio, blogs, and the internet (especially FR), they would have some air support for their couter-attacks... DeLay can clear the underbrush, then Bush/Cheney/Frist can attack full-force.
Frist's (defeatist) comments after Estrada's loss were disgraceful.

I really feel sorry for the judicial nominees who go before the committee. Not only are they raked over the coals by the Dems, the Repubs won't back them up other than a few mealy-mouthed comments back at the Dems. To let them have their pseudo-filibusters is the height of cowardice and does a disservice to those nominees who obviously believe in what they are doing.

I'm surprised that some of these judges even go through the process, it's like a Rape victim - they're on trial and they've done nothing wrong.
Arlen Spector made a comment yesterday akin to "we're convicting her without a trial". Her retort should have been... "i didn't realize I was on trial here, and who are YOU to criticize my judicial decisions". They're going to shoot her down anyway. Upchuck (ChuckyCheese) Schmucker said he will recommend they fillibuster this nomination...

WHY do the democrats have such a hold on minorities when they hold them in such disregard? Two words: free money.
Rats have always been the masters at doling out taxpayer-funded largesse to the victim group de jour. It's a narcotic that they've addicted whole segments of the population to. Until the addict has the wisdon and will to kick the habit, things won't change. When someone comes along who has kicked the habit, through personal triumph or strong support of a traditional family, they are denigrated and smeared, by those addicted to free money and the dealers and pushers of that drug (Rats).

What is despicable and disgraceful is how blacks (with so few exceptions they are meaningless) will allow this type of stuff to go on and still follow this party. Even if you disagree with the persons being attacked in this manner it makes no sense. It is precisely why most non-black Americans have little respect and most think few of the black claims of racism have much merit.

:When will the American people rise up in anger against these deniers of the American dream? Right, when will the OTHER GUY do something about this? Why doesn't the AUTHOR get off his butt, collect money from his friends, familiy, etc, and start to advertise his message in the NY Times, Washington Times, LA Times, Fox News, etc?
If you wait for the other guy to take action, nothing will ever happen.
You're indignant? Do something! Otherwise, stop whining.

Absolutely right. My question was rhetorical. It's long overdue that the Dems are exposed for what they are, not what they purport to be. They are NOT the party for the 'working class', the downtrodden, etc. Most of them are influential millionaires, socialists who would like to spend OPM to solve the 'problems' of the victims they continue to create and nourish. Without endless governmental programs, PC unreality, and continual charges of racism and class warfare, they have no platform. Unfortunately, the Republicans have no cojones, so it evens out.

When Feinswine was prattling on about trying to get her to swear fealty to Stare Decisis, I kept hoping Justice Brown would have pointed out that Dred Scott, And Plessy v. Ferguson, were both the Settled Law of the Land at one time or another.......

No sir. No stereotyping there. Justice Brown is actually a very dignified looking middle aged woman.
