I know that you, being a prepared freeper and all, have already taken every precaution, but please remember to close all the curtains in your house. Don't want you or your family to become target practice for these punks.
And check in here from time to time.

But do the dogs
sound ferocious? That's what might keep these perps away. We had a little poodle once who frightened people like the UPS driver, who would toot the horn for us to come out to the truck. Little did he know that the dog would have tucked her tail and run if he had just stepped out of the truck.
You stay safe! Lots of people are praying that these jerks are caught soon and no innocent people are harmed!

Sounds like the inevitable result of exposing children to the Culture of Violence(tm).
Time to ban all the guns again.

And, while you're at it, turn out all the lights and put the kids UNDER the beds.
We had pretty much the same thing happen around here about 8 months ago - three armed robbers shot a guy and then hit the woods behind our house. Naturally the cops and the dogs went in on the OPPOSITE side of the woods -- so we put the kids to bed on the top floor, turned out all the lights, and I sat on the back porch in the dark with my hyperactive Labrador Retriever and the 16 gauge Browning.
The dog never even alerted 'cause they caught the bad guys back in the woods.
Y'all be careful, now.

You bet they sound ferocious! However, they're harmless. I just hope they make some noise if they hear anything. I'll cap anyone that doesn't identify himself just to be on the safe side.
The police are doing an intensive search one street away from my house now. Several police cars are at the end of my road, lights off, and police with flashlights are headed into the woods.
This is becoming VERY stressful.....
Note to self: Get that new pistol ASAP

Crazy. People used to carry guns to to school lockers for gun club pratice and never became snipers... Has our population gone mad?

Police now going door to door. They wouldn't give me any new info, except that the perps have not been caught. They are asking everyone to keep doors locked, kids inside, curtains drawn, and lights low.
I told them how much we appreciate their efforts.
Dog teams are now in the neighborhood.

Stay low. No lights. Stay quiet. Take a nap on the floor under the bed.

I disagree. Secure your family. And you go out into the dark night, armed, to protect your family. Staying under the bed? I think now, Sir.

Yes.
In 1975, my High School lockers were routinely searched for drugs and weapons.
They always found them.
I carried knives, and other less obvious weapons, to school with me everyday throughout my high school years.
It was considered standard and normal self defense then, unless you got caught using them...
The good ole days were not all that great.
It is even more brutal today,at the elementary level, than it was in my day.
Aint diversity and forced tolerance great!
