This is a significant attempt to redefine mercy-killing. If successful this will prepare the nation for a major precedent - that it's ok to let the inconvenient already born die without care.

Someday the ACLU is going to overplay its hand. Unfortunately, and unlike NOW / NAMBLA, the ACLU has more money and better lawyers. This allows them to be the weight behind the spear-tips that pierces that which is the foundation of our nation.

"Human dignity and common sense are more important consideration than life."

That statement is an accurate and fidelic rendering of what you just stated.

You are claiming that you may end a life you feel, by your own common sense, is an undignified human life.

If a human, in your view lacks dignity ... their life may be ended at the convenience of anyone else who cares do so.

That last statement is an accurate and fidelic rendering of what you said because I have dignified your words, and applied my common sense to them.

You believe justifiable killing includes killing undignified people. Ma'am, I find your statements lack -- a certain, shall we say -- "dignity". Do you understand?

" Did your Doctor determine that you were beyond all hope of recovery?"

Well, my primary surgeons were -- as I remember -- frustrated and not particularly my fans, though great surgeons my case has taxed their patience, it was a rare combination of symptoms. They were ready to give up. I was almost wasted away by that point too.

Fortunately a psychiatrist who had consulted on the case, for the second time during that extended period of my illness, took the extra effort to understand what had happened and gave me the counter-medication. I came back to the full control of my body -- what an estactic feeling that is!
