KING: Belton, Texas, hello.

CALLER: Yes. Does it bother you that the death is so slow? Maybe Dr. Kevorkian-style would be a faster, more peaceful way?

SCHIAVO: Removing somebody's feeding is very painless. It is a very easy way to die. Probably the second better way to die, being the first being an aneurysm.

And it doesn't bother me at all. I've seen it happen. I had to do it with my own parents.

FELOS: You know, Larry, I want to make something very clear about that. The law is very clear. This is not euthanasia. This is not assisted suicide. This is letting nature take its course.

Sent to me by an old friend who isn't a FReeper:

I follow Terri on FR threads...

Bulima has one hallmark sign, speaking with authority as a bulimic myself..

Continual and persistant vomiting exposes ones teeth to dental issues, that stomach acid is some strong stuff that takes it's toll over time.

:-D <~~big pretty 8k smile

Terri's teeth look pretty darn good to me, especially considering that they aren't even brushed and cleaned on a regular basis!

http://www.eatingdisorders.org.nz/faq-dental.shtml

Mission Impossible: Dentists Detect Bulimia By Examining Your Teeth

Also, the questions about a "heart attack", if it is detectable by changes in the heart after the fact etc...

FIRST of all, on the VERY SMALL CHANCE that Terri DID have a 'heart' issue, it was most certainly NOT an "attack" as a heart attack is when part of the heart itself is damaged for whatever reason, parts of it actually die as seen when one has coronary heart disease...

http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/heart/angina03.htm

So IF (and that is a HUGE if in my book) Terri had a heart problem that night it most certainly had to have been an "ARREST". A cardiac arrest is when the heart stops pumping blood throughout the body, for whatever reason, be it a potasium deficiency or a cardiac tamponade such as the one my little Kayona suffered when she was a newborn.

http://www.staffsamb.nhs.uk/aeddesc.html

SO, yes IF terri had a "heart attack" there WOULD be signs forever after.

IF she had an "arrest" the question then becomes "what caused the arrest" and yes potassium can do that but most likely it was the TRAUMA TO HER HEAD!!!

(I aint yelling, just talking with enthusiasm)..

I think that it is important to note the difference between "Heart Attack" and "Cardiac Arrest", that's all I am saying :-)

"Cardiac Arrest & Automatic External Defibrillation (AED)

What is a cardiac arrest?

Heart Attack

A Heart Attack is NOT a Cardiac Arrest. A heart attack is a small section of the heart not getting the flow of blood it requires, this section of the heart dies. It can be a minor or major Heart Attack. People do not die from Heart Attacks, however a Heart Attack, depending on its severity can lead to a Cardiac Arrest."

Thanks for the transcript excerpt. I wasn't sure what he said. Evidently he did the same thing to his parents that he wants to do to Terri.

To say it doesn't bother him at all is cold.

What is natural about starving someone? Felos acts like she is a brain-dead terminally ill person. We wouldn't do this to someone who had cancer! Felos is sick!
