Talks to groups of what? Sheep? Cattle? I wouldn't want to put the moral burden of having to rationalize away starving me to death, upon my family. I'd say "you can refrain from everything else, but don't dehydrate or starve me to death." I still can't believe a priest would say this. It has shocked me to the core, frankly.
