I believe BCE stands for *before common era*. AD stands for anno domini which is Latin for after death. I think.

Yes, BCE is "Before the Common Era" but AD is Latin for "Year of the Lord." However, that has been PC-ed to CE, "Common Era."

They can use BCE for all I care, but unless they change the dating system, they still have the Common Era defined through Christ's arrival.

Yes, but notice the the "common era" is measured from the Year of Our Lord. CE and BCE are transparent BS!
