The shock of his disgusting "memorial" lingers as well.

Implicit in all these articles is the conclusion that Wellstone would have defeated Coleman and that the death turned the direction of the campaign.
First, the outcome of the election was in doubt. Second, the DFLers snatched defeat from the jaws of victory when they callously squandered the sympathy vote they would have received by their outrageous display of indifference to the loss of life.
The real outcome of this entire fiasco was that undecided and independent voters got a chance to see just how little life means to this party.

RobfromGa has proposed the Wellstonian funeral scale, a numeric device to measure the backlash potential of Rat actions. I think this is an excellent idea!

How could any sane person trust a democRAT?.

Here's a tip, don't bring a jumbo-tron to a funeral.

The only thing missing from the Wellstone funeral was a Rolling Stones concert. That would have made all the difference. "I cain't get no.....satisfaction...."......."You cain't always get what you waaaa...aaannn't"

The crying continues...
Now, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't wish Wellstones' form of death on him especially since he and his wife were supposed to be white knuckle fliers.
In any event, he's dead. Too bad, but I didn't shed tears.
In any event, he was a commie.
In any event, he's gone and that's terrific for the Senate and the nation.

The long-haired hippy freak on the left of the last picture was especially odious during the funerally.
Isn't he one of Wellstone's sons?

I remember composing a little parody for the occasion: "To Paul Wellstone in Hell," sung to the
tune of "To Anacreon in Heaven."
To Paul Wellstone in Hell, where he burned in agony,
A few Democrats offered a Petition,
That he their inspirer and Patron would be,
When this answer arrived from the Politician:
Lies, corruption and sleaze, don't abate if you please;
I'll lend you my corpse for a little strip-tease.
And besides I'll instruct you, like me, ever to mix,
Funereal sadness with crass politics."

An online poll over at Democratic Underpants shows that 58% of them thinks the plane crash was orchestrated by the GOP.

How many children did Web Hubell father?

The weapons of mass destruction that Bush wanted Coleman to help protect the nation from have not been found. I wonder if this whole piece was written just to repeat this big lie.
Also, has anyone ever rationally explained what the TV networks found so complelling about this event that they devoted hours of prime time coverage to it?
