Thanks...just jugging along here towards release of Volume IV...and then it's on to Volume V, the last in the series.

It's time consuming and a lot of work...but very educational and fulfilling.

To: Jeff Head
Jeff, your scenario of terrorists setting fires out west certainly seems plausible now, given CA!

I know. Pretty scary stuff. It was bound to happen or come out sooner or later.
Of course, now we have learned that Al-Quida has been talking about and planning just this sort of thing for some time.
Are the California fires and insrtance of this? I really don't think so. They seem too fragmented to me to be any major terror effort, although it is clear that one or two of them may be arson.
I would expect a terror event to be even larger and more damaging than this...like what happened in Volume Two along a couple of hundred mile front, set together to run together.
What we need throughout the west and really all over America IMHO, are the local Home Guard units set up and controlled by local Sheriff's, but armed and outfitted by federal efforts and integrated into the Homeland Security effort through the Sheriff's, the State national Guard and then the Feds. There'd be more volunteers than there were positions and we could put up an effective watch over most infrastructure and even for fire prevention.
Best Fregards!

And a BUMP back to both of you!
Thanks!

And another bump!

Belated BUMP!!!
To: HighRoadToChina
Thanks!
This 4th novel is where things have turned and the long road back has started. Where all of the ill that has built up over so many years of disastorous policies has finally been purged by 5-6 years of terrible set-backs, lost landscape and horrendous conflict...and the arsenal of liberty is finally getting the upperhand and starting to set our enemies back on their heals at long last.
I believe readers are really going to enjoy it, though there are plenty of set backs, anuguishing surprises and twists in the plot(s).
Best Fregards.
