WOW! The NYT is catching on? The next thing that will happen is an anniversary story on 9/11.

<"WOW! The NYT is catching on?">

I'm engaged in an email debate with a Canadian mooselim regarding amoung other things his/her/its assertion... "Like the invasion of Iraq, which turns out to be completely unjustified. Just as we all knew it was in the first place."

I sent a copy of " Iraqi Columnist: The Occupation of Iraq Means Liberty, Even if the Whole World Maintains Otherwise"

The response I received was "Hm. Writers in London and Norway. I'm certain that they are very much in touch with the people of Iraq. And, of course, the opinion of a couple of columnists carries much more weight than the actions of the guerrillas who are constantly risking their lives to attack the americans in an attempt to drive them out."

So I sent off the NYT article with the quotes from in-country Iraqis and got this response..

"A prominent american newspaper printing a story justifying the american occupation of Iraq. ...Is this supposed to be impartial? Perhaps if the story had come out of a country which did not stand to gain by printing something so blatantly designed as justification it would carry some weight, but coming from america, it is nothing more than propaganda"

LOL

I replied trying to bring him/her/it up to speed on The New York Slimes

If I keep running into a brick wall of stupidity I may just find it necessary to share he/she/its website and email address with y'all.
