Did you ever see the movie Zot? T
om Posten played a university professor who discovered an Egyptian relic in his back yard. Painted on the relic was an ancient incantation that bestowed upon the sayer the power to kill merely by pointing at someone and saying the secret word, Zot.

Yes, I actually saw the movie when it was released.... on a Saturday afternoon at the theater, long, long ago! Funny how some things stay with you. I also remember that there were three different effects as long as Tom had the ancient coin in his possession:

1. If Tom said "zotz", everything around him went into slow motion,
2. If Tom pointed his finger, it induced a sharp pain (I remember in the class he was teaching that whenever students raised their hands and Tom pointed to them, they grabbed their stomachs in pain), and,
3. If Tom pointed his finger and said "zotz" at the same time, it was a killer.

When he experimented on a fly circling his lamp, he pointed at the fly, the fly dropped, and then got back up and took to the air, circling the lamp again. When Tom said "zotz", the fly was suddenly in slow motion. And when Tom pointed at the fly and said "zotz", the fly dropped for good, dead.

I remember absolutely nothing else about the movie. Yeah, it's funny how some things stick with you for, what?, 40 years.

Sheesh, now I'm thinking I'll check Amazon for the movie.

Regards,
LH
