people with 401Ks are being offshored by the 1000s, and it isn't much solace to see your 401K go up $10K when you are out of work.

That's true, but the economy turning around will have to help those out of work and looking, don't you think? I do feel bad for the tons of people who have lost their jobs in this job slump, and I hope it turns around for them. Myself? I was unemployed during Clinton's "economic rosy times", so it is odd for me to be better off now than then, when so many aren't.
And having your 401K go up by $10,000 is a lot better than having it drop by $10,000 (or another $10,000)

Read the whole article.Bush will be campaigning during an obvious bull economy with jobs getting noticebly more plentiful and people feeling much more economically secure. All the Crats will have as economic argument is the explosion of credit card debt thataccompanies booms.
