Iraqi military officers destroyed or hid chemical, biological and nuclear weapons goods in the weeks before the war, the nation's top satellite spy director said yesterday.

Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. James Clapper, head of the National Imagery and Mapping Agency, said vehicle traffic photographed by U.S. spy satellites indicated that material and documents related to the arms programs were shipped to Syria.

At this point in time what is there to say other than "thanks" to the UN for giving them all the time they needed to get rid of the evidence and also cover up their tracks. We fell right into it too.

It's pretty obvious they did something with the WMD. I'm sick of the talk of 'intelligence failure', etc. when there are numerous possibilities of what could have happened with the weapons in the great lengths the regime went through to hide them and had enough warning prior to the actual military action. Like we are going to find weapons in the open. They buried aircraft. They've got documentation of their WMD program because the documents are too numerous they weren't able to destroy or hide everything, but I'm sick of the media and Demonrats acting as if Saddam is innocent and we just did this for a 'fraud made up in Texas'.

I wonder if we need to head over to Syria for a look...

Give Bashir Ass ad a choice: Turn over the WMD, or we make Damascus the Dresden of the Middle East.

I have always believed our intelligence agencies know exactly where most of the WMDs are and I think the Administration is holding that info close to the vest for future use.

Consider this: Bush and Co. can afford to wait and let the critics complain endlessly that no weapons were found. Politically his polling numbers haven't fallen that much. So they wait until the Democrats choose their candidate, hopefully an anti-war candidate like Howard Dean, and, when the time is right, announce that WMDs were found and they've known their location for quite some time. The Dems complain, cry foul, etc. and then accuse the Administration of playing politics. The Administration counters that the reason they didn't let this out earlier is because they wanted to ensure the whereabouts of most, if not all, of the WMDs so that al-Quida, Saddam sympathizers, et.al., wouldn't get there hands on them. The "playing politics" charges fall on deaf ears because all anyone can talk about is "they found WMDs", Bush was right, etc.

Meanwhile, the Democrats (and their campaigns) are in a shambles. The economy is on the upswing, things are getting much better in Iraq and, worse yet, WMDs have been found and all the "intelligence failure" talk was incorrect. The Democrats are stuck with their one-issue candidate who was wrong and while they'd like to send him back to Vermont, they can't. It's too late for Hillary to get in. The Dems would have no choice but to fall back on the old Social Security and Medicare scare tactics that, quite frankly, haven't worked so well for them recently. They lose badly in the Congressional races as well as the Presidential election. The GOP wins big and all the judicial nominees are confirmed...and everyone lived happily everafter (except Terry McAuliffe, of course).

Neat, huh?!
