The FBI DNA woman is on the stand; has been for quite some time.

This has to do with the hair, no doubt.

The Petersons and Rochas are allowed to stay in the courtroom -- and I believe Amy Rocha, too.

Heard on Court TV that it is the Kelly hearing that is underway. First witness is FBI's Constance Fisher, an expert on DNA, who is explaining about mitochondrial DNA.

Also heard that Geragos cried foul this morning, saying he'd gotten some discovery late, and that therefore he might not be able to adequately cross-exam some witness of the state's in the Kelly (DNA) hearing. But then he supposedly said it would just be a small delay for him to get up to speed.

Much earlier, the Court TV people said that part of Geragos' objection to some of the dogs was that they were dogs for tracking SUSPECTS, but that they had been used in this case to track a VICTIM. ROFL!!

Miticondrial DNA comes from the mother; nuclear DNA, from both parents. Dr. on CNN says that miticondrial DNA has been accepted in court, but defense argues against...defeated. HA

Turns out the state will not be using its wiretap tapes at the prelim, so no need to go further into the Franks hearing issue at this time. This will cut down on how long we have to wait b/f they dispense with other motions and start the real prelim. State also has said they will not be using any of their GPS evidence for the prelim. So that issue needn't be talked about at this time, either.

BTW, on Court TV they said Geragos is seeking to have Allred barred from the courtroom. LOL.

So, yes, turn to Court TV if you don't mind seeing them go back to "the desert murder mystery" in between Peterson reports.
