I saw Lester Holt mistakenly say that the wiretaps and GPS had been excluded and "isn't that a victory for the Defense?" The reporter corrected him and said that the State simply chose not to use it at the pre-lim.

I've seen shots of Snotty from the last hearing last week...he still has a thick kneck, double chin. And anyone could look thin in a dark suit. He sure is alot thinner from that shot long ago of him and Laci in Hawaii.

I seriously doubt there will be a Ben and Jen movie about Scott and Laci. Apparently, their first film together bombed! Who would want to produce it?

I love how CTV is showing beautiful smiling shots of Laci, the last one with her and Connor in her tummy, must have been days before her husband murdered her, as they went to the break. I'm sick of seeing his mug, and when I heard he had the nerve to laugh out loud in open court today, made me sick. Wish cameras were there so the jury pool could see this creep.

Kevin Smith of the Jay and Silent Bob fame, has produced and directed them in 2 already. Kevin is an old pal of Ben. The next one coming out is called Jersey Girl. I have not seen Gigli, but I am a fan of Jay and silent Bob movies. Dogma was hilarious!

In some jails, you can only call out collect. So if someone won't take your calls, tough. Food: starchy. Interpersonal opportunities: aside from the obvious ones, some inmates can talk to women housed on another floor--through the toilets.

I think they're trying to avoid that Franks issue--regarding accusations that police lied in their affidavits--until after the prelim. In order for them to introduce any wiretaps now, the Franks issue would have to be resolved.

But the conversations btw Scott and Amber which are also wiretapped conversations are sort of a special case. I don't see why Amber couldn't relate some of those conversations based simply on her having participated and heard it all herself--w/o reference to any wiretaps.

Just heard Crier say that after they wrap up this mitochondrial hearing, the witnesses in line are the maid and a family member, who the TV people speculated could be Amy.

I'm taking your word for that in your second paragraph, Anse, but I would have thought that if Amber testifies, it would be her testimony prior to any tape making, to avoid any legal issues that could result in an appeal. Still taking your word for it that that would not be the situation.

Gloria's daughter just said that Amber will be the best prepared witness you will ever see. She ought to know!

Oh gawd!!!! Let's all hope and pray that prosecution has evidence of what Laci was wearing (other than the bra), and they need Amy's testimony!

But Jack, I heard Gloria say on TV last night that she had not been preparing or coaching Amber, and that to her knowledge, she knew of no one else who had!

I can imagine that if SP gets any "canteen" money whatever he gets with that money, if food, can and will be distributed among all inmates on that cell block. Cruel but effective get-backs from the officer on duty.

w/o reference to any wiretaps

Some are maintaining that the conversations with Amber were not taped pursuant to the search warrant and therefore those tapes are not subject to the Franks hearing. The fact that Amber was aware of and authorized the taping of her calls separates her situation from those calls requiring the search warrant(s). Yeah, no?
