Actually the Atkins diet is very good for diabetics also. I was just diagnosed with diabetes and was told I could take care of it with diet rather than take medicine. I went to the nutritionist and she gave me a diet (which was almost like the Atkins one) and she told me that carbs were more dangerous to a diabetic than sugar.
