January, 2005: Washington DC. President George W. Bush, like his Father, is a one term President. Now, a Democrat will take over.

Sporadic attacks have continued in Iraq but, for the most part, the terrorist groups have withdrawn to the safe haven found in Iran, Syria and Saudi Arabia. In his last few months in power, President Bush had hit them hard. The losses for them were staggering. But they were patient and in November, when they knew this threat to them had been removed courtesy of the gullible American people, they pulled back to rest, regroup, plan and wait. With the aid of the American left, they had defeated their only true threat.

As expected, the new Democrat President hastily declared Iraqi self sufficient and orders all the troops home. The Left is jubilant. They have won. As American and coalition troops pull out, the terrorists move back in.

Members of some of the most brutal fundamentalist groups like al Qaeda, Hezbollah and Hamas have been infiltrating Iraq since the war. Saddam’s remaining followers are warned if they want to join him in martyrdom, they will be assisted in that desire. Most decide they will now align themselves with their terrorist masters.

With loyal and vicious members in place in every town and city in Iraq, they quickly start their regime. The small Iraqi Army falls as the terrorists hit them with alarming speed and brutality. Their families are killed, their children shot before their eyes. There is no mercy shown to any who desire a free Iraq. Iraq’s brief taste of freedom is over. The fundamentalists are in charge now.

The puppet head of Iraq signs pacts with neighboring Syria and Iran. Iran has their hidden nuclear arsenal that will be used to bring the rest of the Middle East to its knees. Saudi Arabia is now in al Qaeda’s gun sights.

First, they overrun tiny Kuwait, but they do it quietly. The blinder-laden U.N. ignores all and there is no repeat of the Gulf War.

Powerful forces long in place in the Saudi Kingdom and placed within the Saudi Army make short work of the Royal Family unwilling to turn the country over to the black sheep of the family, Osama bin Laden. Afghanistan, Bahrain, Qatar…all the small countries are soon in their control. Jordan and Egypt fall.

The terrorist groups in Pakistan make short work of Musharraf. They have had men in place for years to remove him when the time was right. Those that protected bin Laden are handsomely rewarded.

Now in their control are the nuclear weapons of Pakistan and Iran. There is only one obstacle left for them to remove--Israel. Since human life means nothing to them, they detonate a small nuclear bomb in the heart of Israel without warning. Millions of Israeli’s and Palestinians are killed. The few Israeli’s that survive are left to die of radiation poisoning or starvation. The U.N. stands by, impotent as always. All aid is turned back by those who now gaze across the world to bigger targets.

The American Democrat President is caught flat-footed. He has ignored the slow, insidious developments in the Middle East. Hamas had wisely stopped all attacks on Israel. The President declared peace at last for the Jewish state. Israel’s warnings fall on deaf ears.

This Democrat’s main goal has been to convert the country to socialism overflowing with social programs and swift punishment and high taxation of the rich. This caused the economy to swing back from the recovery it had been experiencing. True to form, taxes are raised to make sure the rich are paying their fair share.

The last two years have devastated the American military as their funds were taken to pay for bloated social programs. We simply have no power left to challenge the now extremely dangerous Middle East with nuclear weapons under their control.

Turkey, to the surprise of no one, withdraws from NATO and aligns themselves with the terrorist forces. They now have complete victory. They have the oil, the power to destroy what’s left of the world’s economy and they have nuclear weapons.

The terrorists, in complete control of the entire Middle East, join forces with North Korea and make their move into the Asian peninsula. North Korea has something they need--missiles with the range to hit the continental United States.

They brush aside a howling U.N. They have no use nor need for them. Just as the League of Nations, they are useless and finally disband entirely.

The enemy is now powerful. They are full of hate and rage. The ultimatum is given. Surrender or die. The American President frantically asks the world for help. His pleas are met with silence. All are fearful of punishment that will be served to them if they offer any assistance. They demand we not unleash our nuclear weapons and surrender.

We launch our nuclear weapons; millions in the Middle East die, but anticipating that action, the leaders are not there. They are somewhere safe, ready to pick up the pieces of what is left of a world blown back to just where they want it…700 A.D.

Think this vision is far fetched? Take another look at the world and think again. While it may not happen exactly this way, the end could be same. If we lose Iraq, we could lose the world as we know it.

This apocalyptic vision assumes that the Republicans in congress are either going to lose their majority or will somehow be willing to go along with abandoning Israel and sinking the U.S. economy. Not likely, even if Bush did lose.

The ending is all wrong. Howard Dean will not unleash the nukes even if Israel is destroyed. It's not in him. We know it, they know it. The Dems message is leave the continental USA alone and we will ignore whatever horrors you cause elsewhere.

Concur on the possibility, at least, with the understanding that other events could accelerate or delay that possibility to some extent.
