Shouldn't this judge recuse himself as he provided his likely opinion before the actual complaint was received?
Doh! That would require he have some ethics.
Nevermind.

I defy ANYONE to name circumstances in which the life or health of the mother is at stake whereby a risky 2 to 3 day procedure is safer than a simple stat C-section!!! I think there was a long signed letter or ad signed by lots of doctors a couple of years ago, explaining that PBA does not have a name "acceptable" to pro-aborts because it is not and never was a valid medical procedure. It may also have gone into the risk of inadvertently slicing the mother because the doctor's working sort of blind.
I think I saw the letter/ad in the WSJ, but it may have appeared other places.

I can only hope that AG Ashcroft, in defending this law, will find a way to bring into evidence video footage of this procedure. I want these clowns on record defending this procedure as the public has access to how atrocious this really is.

My guess is the few who murder babies for money in this way are ashamed to show their faces in public.

I'm curious -- what would the response be here if I were to post pictures of the partial birth abortion? Maybe better what would be the response to posting it at dummyland?

Of course it is. It's
never a judge's prerogative to question the
reasoning of Congress or the adequacy of its research. That's exactly what this judge is doing, despite the fact that he is only supposed to rule on the constitutionality of the law.
Still, it won't surprise me if the 6 clowns we have on our USSC rule that European law supports the right to murder an infant.
To: Naspino
posting it here would be preaching to the choir. I've seen the photos and don't need to see them again. Posting them to dummyland would just likely get the post and your acct deleted. (though i doubt that matters so go ahead :) but we don't need it here)

I found one from 1997 that looks like it. The link is to a .pdf file. Physicians Ad Hoc Coalition for Truth

>>>>>I always thought you had to have a hearing before issuing an injunction. But what do I know? I'm just an attorney.
Well, I thought you had to have a law before you could have a lawsuit. How on earth did they get this thing before this judge this fast, unless they filed the lawsuit before Bush even signed the law, much less it took effect. Given that he issued this TRO less than an hour after Bush signed the law, I don't see how a lawsuit could have been filed and the attorneys halled before the court, had a three hour hearing, etc., and issue this in less than one hour.
Since when is an issue ripe for consideration before the law is even signed?
Unless I'm missing something, in any other area of law this lawsuit would have been booted, not heard. But he, I'm also just an attorney, not a baby killing judge.
