If it comes to where a new holocaust looms -- with or without the concurrence of the United States and Europe -- Israel will lash out without pause or restraint at those who would try to annihilate their country.

I wish I were as optimisic as the Women in Green. My problem is that I know some Women in Red. They wouldn't call themselves that, but to them the Kotel is a place in another world even though they live less than five miles away. They think that they can make peace with the "Palestinians" and some of their leaders do too. Hell! Our own leader thinks so. By the time they find out they are wrong, they will be dead. They're not going to kill Arabs because they believe too much in the "sanctity of life." The Israelis need to decimate (look up the word, and its origins if you think I mean obliterate) their enemy, but they will die themselves first. It's very sad.

Well, now the Jews have a homeland again. A place that is theirs. And that's the point. It doesn't matter how many times the United States and European powers try to rein in Israel, if it comes down to survival of its nation, its people, they will fight like no lioness has ever fought to save her cubs. They will fight with a ferocity, a determination, and a skill, that will astound us.

The past three/ten years prove exactly the opposite. Time and tactics are on the pallie's side. They'll continue to use salami tactics while breeding like flies. Essentially the whole world is with them: the UN, EU, media, OIC, and half the U.S. (not to mention a significant portion of Israel).

Exactly. Anytime anyone ever suggests that Jews harbor any sort of arrogance at being the "chosen people," my reaction is "Yeah, some chosen people." What's the line from Fiddler on the Roof - "why couldn't He have chosen someone else?"
Ironically, Israel's suffering throughout history is one of the (few dozen) things that cements my belief that they ARE God's chosen. Why else would they be the target of such persecution and hate? It's supernatural, no doubt about it.
