"This is to remind the town that we have teeth and claws and we will use them," said Lt. Col. Steven Russell, commander of the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment.

Well this Trooper certainly has my vote for President if he ever runs. He understands things.

Isn't that kinda harsh. Hate speech, even. I am waiting for Pelosi and the Dems to object to such war-like, hateful speech by an officer. (Next thing you know he'll announce publicly he is a CHRISTIAN and speak in CHURCHES! He might even fire his gun beside the head of a detainee to get info to save American soldiers' lives.)

I voted Bush/Chenny and will again but it's time to turn the war back on FULL TILT and show those people who they are dealing with.

We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire... Give us the tools and we will finish the job.(Sir Winston Churchill )

I---and others, I am sure---have said before:

We have to make it so painful that they will rat out and snitch on their own brothers and fathers and sons who are terrorizing Americans. That just the SOUND of an approaching U.S. chopper or bomber will make their grown men soil their pants.

The latest fatalities brought to 32 the number of American soldiers who have died in Iraq in the first week of November

No offense, but, maybe time for America ask hints from Russia and Israel on fight, this two, three times worse then average week of Chechnya. Also, I wonder...do US State Department feel disturbed by level civilian casualties for callase fire, the same as they feel for Jenin "massacres" and Racak "massacres" and various Chechnya "massacres"? Or is double standard still?

Perskonally, I wouldn't mind doing a MOAB in Tikrit. It might wake these people up; they're "messin' with a Texan." And let the demos shit their stupid brains out tryin' how to break W's resolve. PS: and to hell with the UN. I'd have a few dozen busses lined up on the East River for these dolts and take 'em to JFK or La Guardia.

The death toll of 32 was by far the largest for any seven-day period since President Bush declared an end to hostilities on May 1 — mainly due to the Chinook crash Nov. 2 that killed 16. In all of October, for instance, there were 42 deaths; in all of September, were 31.

The opposition reads the New York Times. They've studied history, and they know all about the Tet Offensive. They are not fighting to achieve a military victory, they are murdering Americans to achieve a political victory. To do that, they need only provide grist for the Democratic anti-war mill.

In other words, American troops are dying, because the Iraqi opposition understands that Clark/Dean/Daschle/Gephardt et al will reliably use those deaths to try and sway public opinion against the war.

American soldiers are dying because the democrats view their own political fortunes as more important than U.S. security, and more important than the lives of those who risk everything to protect it.

The answer is no. The US State Department does not act in the interests of America. I'm sure you understand bureaucracy, but I don't think Russia has anything as bad as our State Department. It's actually not a double standard. They are consistant in their support of any force that opposes America.
