"No offense, but, maybe time for America ask hints from Russia and Israel on fight. ."

No offense taken.

The polititians are trying to control the war - never a good thing for the soldier.

"Why haven't we encouraged Clinton-era appointees and rump-kissers to exit the Pentagon, so real military leaders can do what needs to be done?"

If casualties begin escalating - the Commander in Chief will start taking Big Heat.

(And not the Clinton-ear rump kissers.)

"In other words, American troops are dying, because the Iraqi opposition understands that Clark/Dean/Daschle/Gephardt et al will reliably use those deaths to try and sway public opinion against the war."

Exactly like the RATS did to Nixon in Nam.

"Must be on his "Sunset" assignment. This man is much too fierce for higher rank in today's Army."

Will he be court-martialled for causing pain to the enemy?

I have hard or read somewhere, that during the last days of WW2, President Truman was asked "How many Japanese should die for the sake of saving the life of even one of our American Troopers?"

And that from the relatively assured and comfortable position of late WWII. Imagine what the reaction would have been to those in the post Pearl-Harbor days of 1942 when Wake Island, Corregedor and Bataan had yet to be offset by the Doolittle Raid or Battle of Midway, and the response to an American who'd have begged for compassion based on observations that Japanese Budhaism was an essentially peaceful religion, or that we should not undertake military operations against the Japs on periods with Shinto religious significance.

WWDD? (What Would the Draka Do?)

Hell, they'd already be serfs by now.

Any resistance by these clowns would have resulted in a few kilotons of nuclear justice being dispensed on the town.

Service and Glory!
