6656: Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. His secret candy invention. It was a giant suck-all-day that changed colors as it dissolved. That's a good analogy for a lunar eclipse, except for the duration part. Thanks.

My Redskins suck all day.
For those cloud impaired tonight, the moon is over half eclipsed, with the eclipsed area showing a dark red color.

There's that prenumbra the Supreme Court keeps talking about. I don't see one damn word in it.

For those cloud impaired tonight, the moon is over half eclipsed, with the eclipsed area showing a dark red color. Approaching mid-eclipse, to me the Moon appears a pale orange through binoculars. The color appears more subdued in a small telescope at 50x. The difference between what you perceive and what I perceive may be due to differences in the color sensitivity of our eyes and differences in the atmospheres from where we observe.

Here in Cambridge - the People's Republik - it is awesome. Agreed. Just saw the moon go into the shadows and saw a dim pink glow.
