agree about Graham - that he would be a more likely VP choice than Clark for Dean

I think Graham would be awful, he's just not a telegenic guy. Dean would be better off with John Breaux.

I wasn't suggesting we be complacent. I was just saying that if Bush loses, he'll lose by a significant EV margin. If he wins, it'll be a significant EV win. This won't be a razor-thin Florida recount repeat of 2000.

Bush does have lots of things in his favor, though. He's a Republican, he's running for re-election rather than an open seat, he was elected after 8 years of Democrat WH control, he won't have an opponent in the NH primary, and he will have more money than his Dem opponent. These are about the best conditions he could hope for. I don't think a presidential candidate has ever lost with these advantages.

Now newsmax is trying to pump up Dean to scare the Bushies.
Dean is NOT a fiscal conservativeas he wants to raise taxes across the board on individuals AND corporations AND mammothly increase spending on things like Universal healthcare. He wants to unionize millions of federal jobs. He wants to make American companies subservient to Kyoto.

From Dean for America:
My economic policies for America are based on four fundamentals:

Repeal the Bush tax cuts, and use those funds to pay for universal health care, homeland security, and investments in job creation that benefit all Americans.
