Yes, that's the photo, and it should be obvious to anyone who sees it that Terri was alert and emotional.

Michael looks so sweet and innocent here, doesn't he? What casual observer would guess that he is about to steal all -- all -- of her therapy money and try to have her killed. He's just "making nice" here until he can get his hands on the money.

Given what we've learned since, one must suppose he's watching her very closely here, fearing that she could get better and finger him for beating her and attempting to strangle her.

Just reading the contents of it is a very profound affirmation of some or my reasonings that I used in regards to Jeb as Governor of the State of Florida being Terri's ultimate guardian when the courts fail. I knew I wasn't wrong!

You think that will affect anybody? I don't know...I mean, look at the pro-death kooks in FR....I find it absolutely incredible.

Dunno, I don't remember it, buddy. Could be. Maybe somebody else will know.

There WAS some nursing home swindle, I think in Iowa, that involved the Rose Law Firm -- Vince Foster and I think Hillary. Can't remember the perps. So many swindles, so many swindlers -- they start to blur :-)

>> if Felos himself denied (as stated in posts above, and sourced that MS had 'any' children

Felos has that same quality of telling "little boy" lies that Clinton so loves to do. Here, I think what he said was (something like) "Michael hasn't sired any children," and what he may mean, in a little-boy evasion of the truth, is that MS is merely the sperm donor, not the legally responsible, marital father, or "sire."

This is one possible explanation, anyway. Who can say.

And denied Connor's motion to dismiss.

But "where there's life, there's hope." It's a very well-written brief; would be nice if it could get some widespread attention.

Here's a goody from the Oprah Should Terri Life ro Die message board on Oprah site:

Terri is alive, disabled, and neglected
Posted by: angleena
Posted on: 11/11/2003 at 9:38pm (13 of 13)

Originally, advanced directives are for those who are concerned about not wanting to live under artificial means, the law is to protect there right to die. Advanced directives aren't made to protect someone's right to live, our constituition is already there. Therefore, Terri made her choice to live by NOT having advanced directives, she already has the constitution behind her. Only those that are concerned and want to also have the right to die need to bother with the advanced directives. I see no reason for someone who wants to live no matter what to have something in access of a the constituition but someone who wants to die needs to have something written out like advanced directives in order to give up their constitutional right. Terri never gave up her consititional right and no one should be able to take it away from her but her. If Terri was truly concerned about living and dieing, and if Mike really took her comments serious, they should have wrote something out right then and there. Failure to do so shows that Terri wasn't all that serious about any remark she made and Mike didn't take her all that serious. Terri did not make an informed choice, the law requires an informed choice. Stating "I wouldn't want to be kept alive that way" when watching a tv show is not an informed choice where someone has spelled all the pros and cons out to you. Let's not forget our constitutional right to live and our right to give up life through advanced directives. Let's not forget that the advanced directives is so someone can make an INFORMED decision.
As far as Terri's current condition is, she is disabled and that is all. She has a brain injury, she is not in a PVS state and she is not in a coma. Her mind is slow, it has been allowed to go dormat from lack of use and lack of stimulation thanks to her husband.

I might add, the person responsible for making choices for a disabled person should have there best interest in mind and not their own. Mike has indicated that Terri should die because he has decided "IT'S TIME TO MOVE ON WITH MY LIFE". His duty as guardian has nothing to do with his life, it's all about Terri's. Yet he is making this decision because he decided it's time to move on with, and I must make this clear, he has already moved on with his girlfriend and their 1 child and one on the way child.

Can Mike really act as an unbiased guardian as is required by law? NO!

Thought you might be interested in this notice from an email I received regarding Jeb Bush's interest in Terri's case-please forgive if you all have already known about this! I was unaware of this and truly pleased.

Request to meet with the guardian ad litem of brain-damaged Terri Schiavo prompts questions from lawyers and legal experts.

BY TERE FIGUERAS

Miami Herald

Gov. Jeb Bush has asked to meet with Terri Schiavo's new court-appointed guardian, saying he wants to express his concerns in person and assist the medical expert in ''determining the scope'' of his review of the brain-damaged woman's case.

Bush sent his letter Thursday to University of South Florida professor Jay Wolfson, the guardian ad litem for Schiavo, a 39-year-old woman who has been in a vegetative state since a 1990 heart attack.

The request prompted questions from lawyers for Schiavo's husband, who has been locked in a bitter legal battle with his in-laws.

Michael Schiavo says his wife did not want to be kept alive by artificial means. Her parents say she may still recover.

''This is the latest example of the governor's intrusion into this case. I find it very inappropriate,'' said Howard Simon, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida, which recently joined Michael Schiavo's legal team.

On Oct. 21, six days after Michael Schiavo had his wife's feeding tube removed with the court's approval, Bush used a new state law -- known as ''Terri's Law'' -- to have the tube reinserted.

Bush, speaking with The Herald on Thursday, said his request to speak with Wolfson before Wolfson issues his recommendations to the governor and the court was not inappropriate and would not interfere with Wolfson's investigation.

''What the judge asked the guardian to do is make a determination based on some very specific facts,'' Bush said. To make a final decision on Terri Schiavo's fate, he said, ``I need to have a larger set of facts to explore and so I want to talk to him about it.''

University of Miami law professor Bernard Perlmutter said the request undermines the guardian ad litem's role.

''It's inappropriate and improper,'' said Perlmutter, director of the law school's Children and Youth Law Clinic.

``Courts don't make decisions behind closed doors. It seriously questions the legitimacy of the process if there's even the appearance that the governor is using the power he wields to influence the findings of this highly qualified individual.''

Wolfson, for his part, declined to say if he would accept the governor's invitation.

Herald staff writer Lesley Clark contributed to this report.

Yes, I saw that article; nothing wrong with reposting and thanks much for the ping.

What I find laughable is this:

''This is the latest example of the governor's intrusion into this case. I find it very inappropriate,'' said Howard Simon, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida, which recently joined Michael Schiavo's legal team.

It's okay if the ACLU intrudes, but not the Governor.

I know exactly what you mean! Both of you! Looks like Larry King is a go for this Friday. Have been gone for about a day and one half and miss keeping up with this incredibly important thread. Sorry about posting articles already printed-but, LOL, here I go again (another annoucement from an email):

I was in Pat's office today and asked < name withheld by republic > to keep me up to date on TV shows, etc., so I can pass it on to all of you.

She said Larry King has been rescheduled for Friday,
Oprah is being taped tomorrow and will show perhaps on Friday but we're not sure.

They weren't sure about Montel but I have it on right now and he is talking about people who have been in comas, so maybe it will be on soon.

Pat seemed to think Gov. Bush will hang in there with Terri, which was great to hear.

Glad you're back, Spotted Owl! Been missing you and wondering why you weren't posting on the Terri threads. I've kept you in my prayers all this time while you've been off. Glad to hear it was only computer problems keeping you away! I hope things are going okay over in your neck of the woods. Keep in touch!

What would you all think about starting an EZBoard to have a permanent archive for all pertinent information? If this seems popular, I can start one up first thing in the morning.

I figure it might be useful to have it all together to aid all the sleuths. Opinions???

Funny that it has Trudy Capone's affidavit listed as one for the defendant (MS). She must have been saying stuff that benefited both sides, cause she testified (?) on Michael's behalf, but also said that he harassed her? It would be good to get an actual copy of her affidavit, to understand exactly what she said.
