The Senate voted yesterday to punish Syria through economic and trade sanctions until Damascus expels terrorist groups, withdraws its troops from Lebanon and ends its nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs.

The bill, which passed by a vote of 89-4, gives President Bush broad authority to waive the sanctions if he deems it necessary, but lawmakers said it still sends a message that Syria must switch sides in the war on terror.

Enzi voted against? What's his problem?

Syria needs some GPS targeted bombs on the President's houses and government structures.

I'd nuke the Becca valley in Lebanon. No one would notice and no one would care but the terrorist. A small megaton device can do the job and the radiation would be almost non-existent.

Oops, there I go again talking about ideas that free people are allowed to do in our country. But I guess I'll get put on the Andrew Sullivan, Sean Hannity, and critics on FR list as a "nuke Mecca" member.

Oh well! ;-)

SYRIA COMPLETES CHEMICAL WEAPON WARHEADS [for its scud-based missiles]
MENL ^ | 11/11/2003

Posted on 11/11/2003 9:13 PM PST by yonif

"DAMASCUS [MENL] -- Syria has completed chemical warheads for its arsenal of Scud-based missiles.

U.S. officials said Syria, with help from North Korea, has succeeded in designing and installing CW warheads for the Scud B, Scud C and Scud D missiles. This provides Syria with warheads that can reach distances from 250 to nearly 700 kilometers.

The chemical agent deployed in the CW warheads is sarin, regarded as the most toxic of material. Syria has also been developing more toxic agents such as VX.

"Since the 1970s, Syria has pursued what is now one of the most advanced Arab state chemical weapons capabilities," Undersecretary of State John Bolton said on Oct. 30. "It has a stockpile of the nerve agent sarin that can be delivered by aircraft or ballistic missiles, and has engaged in the research and development of more toxic and persistent nerve agents such as VX.""

Voting against the bill were [...]

For the system to be perfect every voting should be unanimous, 89-4 is not good enough. Dissenting votes should not be tolerated!

Why nuke, now that the MOAB is operational?

The MOAB does make a nice mushroom cloud. But I want the low level radiation...these moronic Arabs are very superstitious and they'd be afraid to enter into the area for fear of being radiated.
