Same here in Michigan, this morning winds 35-40, it was a brutal walk into work

I would imagine this will eventually create a Lake Erie "seiche" where the water starts oscillating back and forth after the wind stops.

Wave heights have now topped 16 feet in Eastern Lake Erie and Eastern Lake Ontario (not that spectacular for the Atlantic, but amazing for those two lakes which have a limited fetch.)
