Unfortunately, I have to agree with the diecision to remove Justice Moore. He willfully disobeyed a court order.

As an aside, word I am getting from state friends is that Steve Windom and Perry Hooper are on Riley's appoitment list as an interim replacement.

According to her publicist, Lizzie Grubman, Paris is currently in Australia, laying low.

Agreed, it should have stayed a state issue. However you are right I would have booted him off the court, and I could never vote for a man like that. Imagine if he was govenor, or president. (shudder)

The purists will destroy Pryor for disagreeing with them and doing what he felt was the right thing to do.

It convinces me that some conservatives are about as tolerant of those who express disagreement with their worldview as Hillary Clinton is. If you ask me, Hillary views disagreement with her worldview as evil.

He was very clear-minded.

I actually agree with his words that it is pure hyprocricy to say "God save the court" AND "So help me God with hand on bible" and somehow be indignant that someone sets up a statue, a work of art that he likes, that acknowledges that same God. (He also mentioned "under God" in the Pledge and "In God we Trust" on our money....2 more contradictions.)

Honestly, don't you think that is absolute, total double-minded, inane hyprocricy?

In that commment, he does appear to be the one who is thinking clearly.

But I'm quite certain that the MOST important thing he said was his comment that he'd make a "nationally" important announcement next week. I'm betting he's announcing as candidate for some 3rd party for the Presidency.

He WILL pull a lot of President Bush's conservative christian support. I'm guessing that Moore will pull down as much support as Perot did on his 2nd run....9%. That will give the presidency to the democrats.

secular humanists

If it weren't for secular humanists, you would be crapping in an outhouse, watching half your children die before the age of two, and hoping your wife wasn't burned as a witch.

Your attitude- that anyone who doesn't agree with your narrow, sectarian religious beliefs is "antiChrist" shows exactly why the theocracy you want is a horrible idea.

You would make the "unsaved"(in your view) into second class citizens.

AntiChrist - opposed to Christianity.

I don't make the unsaved second class citizens. They do it to themselves. It's the law of accountability. It's a deathstyle choice.

Somehow, I think your reply would be a little different if his God was Allah.

Everyone has freedom of religious expression in this country, including Moore. Read the Alabama Constitution - it acknowledges Almighty God. What God is it referring to do you suppose? Hint: It's not Allah or Krishna! When that Constitution was written, I would be surprised if there was even one Muslim in Alabama! Moore is being true to his oath to the state Coinstitution and is consistent with the U.S. Constitution as well.

You had better write a letter and demand that those murals of Moses be painted over in the chambers of the U.S. Congress, that that bible verse from Leviticus be sanded off the Liberty Bell, that those hypocrites stop saying "God save the Supreme Court" before every session.

Chipping away at state sovereignty, and an individual's right to display their faith while at work is an affront on the first amendment.

Then he had no business being a judge.

Exactly he is just the other side of the liberal activist judges that we are always complaining about here.

They were once blessed by having Moore, now they're set up to feel the wrath that is yet to come.

You do realize that Roy Moore was quite adept at giving away insurance money, right? he was a plaintiff lawyer's dream.

Many NAZI's were following the law of their land too! I wonder what it takes now days for someone to stand up for what is right? If we go down the path of you follow the law no matter what we are no better than previous regimes...

That you would compare not allowing Moore to use a public courthouse for his personal religious crusade to the crimes against humanity committed by the Nazis shows just how irrational and ignorant of the law Moore supporters are, and why we are lucky you people are not running this country.

Indeed, I think Judge Roy Moore is making it obvious what we need to do. He stands virtually alone to lead a revolution that attempts to re-establish rule of law rather than prevailing, ever-changing ideology of whichever judge parks on the bench on whatever day.

Juuust out of curiosity CP, could these factual assertions of yours be considered slander, since I'm fairly certain you have no evidence of Judge Moore's affiliation with any carnival, nor his "psychotic" mental state?

Judge Moore is not from a Trailier Park as you state. However, he is a decorated Veteran. Is is sad to see the hatred for him and his religious beliefs on FR. This contempt is only rivaled by those at DU.
