He needs to take this to the USSC. First of all, I disagree with the way he went about this, but he IS right. This is a state issue and the federal government (in the guise of a black robed liberal activist) stuck his nose in where it doesn't belong. Someone really needs to get these things straightened out and quickly.

What is really sad is that in order to uphold the Christian principles of his state and those on which this country was begun...that Moore would be put in such a position in the first place. That the court system has become so hostile toarwd Christianity that it is being banished from America one lawsuit at a time. Well the current method of going along with these courts is not working. This judge had the guts to call it what it was. An illegal order and as a fact- based on false law. Lets hope more judges will have the guts he has. Lets hope that it will wake more people up. Although I admit that based on many of the replies on this thread I am not too hopeful. To many people can't see that the system is corrupt to the point where the checks and balances no longer work reliably.

From Dred Scott to the Stokes Trial to the Moore Trial...another defining moment in American history. Alabama has just criminalized defense of its own Constitution, which upholds the foundation of law and liberty on natural and inalienable, God-given, rights, not those granted by man, as well as public worship of God and the natural right to legislate based on "morality."

There are HUNDREDS of decisions each year from Federal courts, and TENS OF THOUSANDS of "administrative rulings"/regulations, that states IGNORE every year. It is part of the push and pull of FEDERALISM. Here, the people of Alabama have been BETRAYED by utter COWARDS on the Judicial Court. They didn't even have the courage to explore whether the Judge was right UNDER ALABAMA LAW, or whether the U.S. Supreme Court had the lawful power to "uphold" (deny cert.) such a ruling. If America has lost the courage to resist unconstitutional and tyrannical rulings from the Federal bench -- and we have a Supreme dictatorship forming before our eyes, then we have lost the STATES as a bulwark against tyranny. This isn't the 1860s or 1960s. Most state governments have, like Alabama, already surrendered in the defining struggle of the 21st century -- whether the Republic will survive.

The first amendment to the Constitution CLEARLY states
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment
of religion or prohibiting the free extercise thereof;..."
The Tenth Amendment CLEARLY states that "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."

SINCE the Constitution was adopted, approved and in effect in several states at the begining of our Republic in which there was an official STATE church, the intent of the Founding Fathers is very clear here.

Judge Moore did NOT violate the Constitution of the United States, Judge Myron Thompson did by his deliberate distortion of Federal Juridical power to pander to the ACLU and the Atheists who are determined to atheize America.

Governor Bob Riley of Alabama shoudl have refused to allow the Federal Order to be imposed. The Federal Courts would have to have gone to George Bush and asked him to nationalize the Alabama State National Guard to enforce this unlawful edict by a Federal Judge. George Bush would have been faced with two choices: a) Enforce the Judge's edict and incur the wrath of his fundamentalist Christian southern base, or b) ignore the little tyrant on the Federal Court and allow Alabama to continue to exist under the flag and the Constitution of our forefathers. What do YOU think Bush would have done?

If you choose the path of civil disobedience, integrity demands that you accept the consequences. The judge (rightfully in my mind) chose to disobey the rulings of the court. The consequences are his removal.

He should now focus on making permanent changes in his state to roll back the prior court decision(s).

No surprise here. Just because he disagreed with the decision of the Federal Courts did NOT give him reason to refuse their order. He knew this was coming, and I think he played his hand out all the way to the end. I expect him to file to run for either Senator or Governor in rather short order.

So they removed judge Moore for acknowledging God and the Ten Commandments as the foundation for law, and for "displaying" them. Yep- He's a crimminal alright. Ve Vill not acknowledge God in public.......

Better take "in God we trust" off the money, and get the sandblasters out to take the Ten Commandments off the Supreme Court. The Lincohln memorial should be put in the basement, and take all the crosses out of Arlington Cemetary- Some liberal might walk by and "see" them and be "offended". Look for them to start suing . Oh and the Declaration of Independence and Constitution have to go too, a liberal might walk by and notice the references to God.
