The discoveries were made possible ONLY because of their Christian worldview: The universe is ordered and rational and can be understood becuase it was created by a rational God. That is precisely why almost all of the major breakthrough scientific discoveries were made in Reformation Europe or the United States. You need to study history without your secular bias. If Christianity created the impetus for the Age of Reason, why did Europe stagnate for a 1000 years when the Church held sway?

In truth, it was the reintroduction of Greek thought into Europe, transmitted through Jews and Arabs, that brought Europe out of the Dark Ages.
