I'm so pleased to hear the update.
Truth - I've spent some time studying sign language, so bear with me on this. I presume someone has already strongly urged you to teach your daughter that language (I recommend SEE rather than ASL, because she'll learn to spell and read English correctly - rather than simply learning a "cultural" language like ASL with all it's incorrect grammar, syntax, etc.) I too would urge you to pursue this with her, in the event things should worsen over time. It gets her closer to a "total communication" model. Besides, it's fun, will improve her hand-eye communication, may give her a career path as a certified intepreter some day, and also help her to learn spelling and language skills faster.
Take it for what it's worth, but hope you will consider it - if you haven't already.

How ironic that your original prayer request had me crying for little Carly, and your update has me crying as well! But these are happy tears. Thank you God, for all the blessing to give each of us every day of our lives.

Hope you don't mind I talk to the Big Guy upstairs on your behalf. I've been in your situation three times, it ain't fun. If it's any comfort, though things were tough, I was always provided with what I needed to get through the situation.
